Update: If journalistic intergrity means anything to you read, sign, and share this petition

A screen grab from the Fox 45 story.

UpdateThe Fox 45 reporter and the photographer are taking the fall for the news director.
The reporter and the photographer responsible for misquoting Tyrone West's sister, Tawanda Jones, at a protest rally in Washington, D.C., reporting she and others chanted "kill a cop," have been let go by Fox 45, according to two sources confirming a report that first appeared on the site FTVLive.com. - See more at: http://www.citypaper.com/blogs/the-news-hole/bcp-the-fox-45-crew-behind-the-bogus-kill-a-cop-story-has-been-let-go-20141231,0,2353761.story#sthash.OqidMFY0.dpuf

For those who remember the recent Baltimore-based Fox News affiliate WBFF’s deplorable attempt at misrepresentation of peaceful protests in the midst of the Black Lives Matter movement dominating the country since the murderers of Michael Brown and Eric Garner were cut loose of any charges, a petition is now being circulated calling for those responsible for the devious misrepresentation to be fired and for the station to receive large FCC fines.

It's not wise to point guns at cops....if you are black

So I guess you've heard about the latest cop on black killing in Berkley, Mo. about two miles from Ferguson Mo. where #MichaelBrown was killed.  Police claim 18 year old #AntionoMartin pulled a gun on him and they had no choice.  I said "police claim" because it's not like we can believe everything anonymous police sources leak to the media, and it's not like the media is going to do any actual investigating on their own because that would be too much like right.  Pun intended.

My thing is, why would an 18 year old black teen pull a gun on police?  I mean, really?    On social media, not to be confused with the white, male dominated, mainstream media, conflicting accounts have surfaced.

If police officers are afraid of black people maybe they shouldn't be police officers.

The latest case of cops behaving badly comes to us from South Carolina. *cue in Inner Circle music here: Bad boys, bad boys, what you gonna do?...*
"A South Carolina woman has filed a complaint with the Greenville City Police Department after officers Tasered and then arrested her autistic 34-year-old son on Christmas Eve after he attempted to avoid them, reports WYFF.
According to Carolyn Anderson, her son, Tario, has a severe form of autism rendering him almost incapable of speaking.
“Tario can say yes or no, he might ask for a thing or two, but just verbal, no,” Carolyn Anderson explained.
In all fairness, with all the new republican enacted gun laws police can't distinguish between the GOOD IDIOTS with guns from the BAD IDIOTS with them, so they assume all black people are the BAD IDIOTS, and shoot first and ask questions later.

I'm just saying....

"An honest misunderstanding of what the protesters were chanting" My Donkey

Comic by Rob Rogers/ Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

WATCH.  Listen. Learn.
The chant went "we won't stop, we can't stop, 'til killer cops, are in cell blocks," according to C-SPAN footage.
But WBFF cut the audio short and told viewers that the words were in fact "we won't stop, we can't stop, so kill a cop."
The station apologized both on its Facebook page and in an interview with one of the protestors leading the chant, Tawanda Jones.
It ought to be against the law to use the public airways to mislead and misinform the public.

What's that you say? "Fox Affiliate Edits Protest Chant to Sound Like ‘Kill a Cop’"? I'm shocked! Shocked I tell you.

Photo via screen grab

No I'm not.
Three times over the last 24 hours, Baltimore Fox affiliate WBFF has played a misleadingly edited clip from last week’s National “Justice for All” March in Washington, D.C. to make it sound like protesters were calling on people to “kill a cop.”
“At this rally in Washington, D.C. participants chanted, ‘We won’t stop, we can’t stop, so kill a cop,’” WBFF’s Melinda Roeder said during a Sunday night report about the murder of two police officers in New York City, before playing a truncated version of a protest video from C-SPAN. “The anti-police sentiment reached a turning point this weekend in New York when two officers were gunned down in cold blood.”
 Watch the edited version.

Just as I suspected.
As you can see from the video played on-screen, the source of the clip was a YouTube video posted last week with the title, “Sharpton’s ‘Go Kill A Cop’ march in Wash DC.” But when you watch past the point where WBFF cut off, you can hear the full chant had a different message:
We won’t stop.
We can’t stop.
‘Til killer cops.
Are in cell blocks.

"Once again after a mentally ill person guns two people down NO ONE is talking about gun control'

For those who don't know, a mentally ill African American male with a history of arrests  gunned down two NYPD officers after shooting and critically wounding his ex-girlfriendRighty's and others are using this as an opportunity to blame Peaceful Protesters, President Obama, Eric Holder, Al Sharpton, and New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio, because a mentally ill person with a gun killed people.   I don't know weather to laugh or cry.  So I'll just chant USA!  USA!  USA!

Shamming and blaming is a lot easier than addressing legitimate issues.
Those who are trying to connect the murders of the officers with the thousands of articulate and peaceful protestors across America are being deliberately misleading in a cynical and selfish effort to turn public sentiment against the protestors. This is the same strategy used when trying to lump in the violence and looting with the legitimate protestors, who have disavowed that behavior. They hope to misdirect public attention and emotion in order to stop the protests and the progressive changes that have already resulted. Shaming and blaming is a lot easier than addressing legitimate claims.
For those of you who just don't understand why African Americans don't trust some (not to be confused with all) Police,  we are not anti ALL police, we are anti police who abuse their power.  The main ones complaining about painting cops with a broad bush are the same ones painting protestors and African Americans with a broad brush. The Police union blaming the Mayor and supporters of the Brown and Garner families is like blaming all police for their deaths! No thoughtful person does that.

In other news, the Ferguson Prosecutor doesn't mind that witnesses lied before the grand jury,  and YorkThe New York Times is calling for Bush and Company to be investigated and prosecuted for torture.

Faux News Distorting What You Decide Redux #FergusonGrandJury #SandyMcElroy

Before I type another word, let me express my gratitude to the Smoking Gun for being the media I wish we had instead of the media we have.  Thanks to them we know the #FergusonGrandJury was a farce and a fraud.  Thanks to them we know there were two witnesses who said didn't have hands up surrendering. One was not actually there. The other was

Read all about How Fox News Ran with Bogus Testimony Given to the Grand Jury
On December 8, St. Louis County Prosecutor Robert McCulloch released additional details about the grand jury documents his office made public last month after no charges were brought against Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of Michael Brown. As a result, more details have come to light showing that the testimony of one particular grand jury witness was a sham—testimony that was repeatedly touted by Fox News' Sean Hannity and other pundits who defended Wilson and the grand jury's decision.
It ought to be against the law to give bogus testimony to the Grand Jury.

Oh wait.....
Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States, was impeached by the House of Representatives on two charges, one of perjury and one of obstruction of justice, on December 19, 1998. Two other impeachment articles, a second perjury charge and a charge of abuse of power, failed in the House. He was acquitted of both charges by the Senate on February 12, 1999.[1]

#BillCosby is a media enabled Weapon of Mass Distraction from #SandyMcElroy

About that #FergusonGrandJury that refused to indict #DarrenWilson in the shooting death of #MikeBrown...

You won't see this on TeeVee, or read about it in the mainstream media because they are too busy talking about ‪#‎BillCosby,‬ but The Smoking Gun exposed  ‪#‎Ferguson‬ "lying" witness number 40 Sandy McElroy as a racist lying liar.
DECEMBER 15--The grand jury witness who testified that she saw Michael Brown pummel a cop before charging at him “like a football player, head down,” is a troubled, bipolar Missouri woman with a criminal past who has a history of making racist remarks and once insinuated herself into another high-profile St. Louis criminal case with claims that police eventually dismissed as a “complete fabrication,” The Smoking Gun has learned.
There's more:
You must understand, then, that Sandy McElroy, whose testimony matches that of Darren Wilson's better than any witness who testified, was only called to the grand jury, not once, but twice, and allowed to present concocted physical evidence at that, because she was a neutron bomb for this case. Not ONE PIECE OF EVIDENCE proving that she was there could be found and scores of evidence that she made the entire thing up was presented weeks before she was ever allowed to testify before the grand jury, but it was all deliberately ignored

Oops, more lying liars and the lying liars who tell them
But Maddow wasn’t the last MSNBC host to poke holes in the grand jury’s work that day. Lawrence O’Donnell followed up by poking holes in the testimony of the only witness McCulloch specifically quoted in his press conference, imbued with all the trust he scornfully denied to everyone else.
“There is no real reason to believe officer wilson’s story that Michael Brown was charging at him, but even if you do believe it, there is certainly no reason to believe that Officer Wilson could not have easily avoided being tackled by someone who’s been hit by four of his bullets,” O’Donnell pointed out—which, again, is precisely the sort of thing that a prosecutor’s cross-examination should have made obvious. “You don’t have to be an NFL running back to avoid that tackle.” But then O’Donnell moved on to his main point—was there any credible evidence supporting Wilson’s claim of this most improbable, suicidal charge? “That is one of the most important questions in this case,” he said, and then played a clip from McCulloch’s press conference, “One described his movement toward Officer Wilson as ‘a full charge.’”
The Truth Matters

It ought to be against the law to use the public airways to lie to the public.

Fox News Caught on Tape Distorting What You Decide with all Spin all the Time, UNfair & Unbalanced. Lovely.

In an attempt to discredit Rev. Al Sharpton and the massive #JusticeForAll marches held all over the country last weekend, Fox News proved once and for all they hate us for our freedom.  That's the only conclusion I can draw from their attempt spin #BlackLivesMatter  into an anti cop crusade by editing a piece of video tape to make it seem demonstrators  had chanted calls to kill police during his speech,  making the divide between the police and protesters even worse.  For some reason the site of large groups of black people marching for truth, justice, and the American way, just doesn't sit well with some people.

Let's recap
During the broadcast, they showed a clip from a protest last night in Manhattan where some people were reportedly heard chanting “What do we want? Dead cops! When do we want it? Now!” The video then flipped to Sharpton leading a peaceful rally where he says,  “We’re not saying all police are bad. We’re not even saying most are bad. We’re not anti-police, but we’re anti-brutality. And the federal government must have a threshold to protect that.”
The intention of the shoddy editing was to make Sharpton look like a hyprocite, although anyone paying attention could see the clips were from drastically different times of day. That didn’t stop the hosts from using this footage as evidence that the protestors had ill intentions.
About that "What do we want? Dead cops!' video,..notice how far the camera shot is from the crowd, but how clear their words are? We can't see the faces of the people but we can hear their words?  And how come Fox News is the only network that reported these chantsMakes you go Hmmmm doesn't it?

For the record, no one, I repeat no one, wants cops or anyone else dead. Nor are the protest an indictment of all cops.  To say that all cops kill unarmed black men, women, and children without impunity is like saying all black people are thugs, and we know that's not true.  To say #BlackLivesMatter does not mean that white lives, and police lives don't matter.
To : yes, cops kill white people, but young Black men are 21 TIMES MORE LIKELY to be killed by cops than young white men
This movement is about equality not vengeance. We are not a divided country. It's ONE Nation, with Liberty and Justice for all. The sooner Fox News realizes this the better off we all will be.

This is what #WhitePrivilege looks like in one picture

Dale Jackson
Mad because Oakwood University students organized a peaceful demonstration because they want to be treated like human beings, local radio host Dale Jackson (pictured above taking a selfie), decided to mock the absurdity of die- protest orchestrated by America’s grievance industry, with a one man protest, enabled by the City of Huntsville, the Huntsville Police Department, the media, and indirectly, Huntsville/Madison County taxpayers.

“There is a right way to protest and a wrong way to protest. Laying down in the middle of the road is the wrong way and shame on the politicians who are afraid to stand up and tell them ‘no.'”
That is the point Huntsville conservative talk radio personality Dale Jackson says he wanted to get across on Monday when he staged a one-man protest, lying down in the middle of the street blocking traffic on one of Huntsville’s busiest thoroughfares as local residents tried to make their way home from work.
The genesis of Jackson’s idea came when word started to spread on social media that several Huntsville residents were planning a demonstration they had dubbed “Shut it Down Huntsville.” Their plan to was to start in the parking lot of the Oakwood University Church and march up University Drive, “blocking all traffic in protest.”
The protest mirrored many others taking place around the country in the wake of the Michael Brown and Eric Garner deaths and subsequent grand jury decisions.
Let's backup. Their plan was to start in the parking lot of the Oakwood University Church and march up University Drive, “blocking all traffic in protest.” When Dale Jackson got wind of this, he and his posse cranked up a  they don't have a permit whine on social media.

The social media whine was picked up by the mainstream media, which resulted in Oakwood students being urged to not break traffic laws by the University President, and the city councilman who represents the district.
Huntsville City Councilman Will Culver said Huntsville police hope to prevent a planned Friday afternoon protest march from spilling into busy University Drive.
Culver, whose council district includes University Drive as well as Oakwood University where the 4:30 p.m. march is starting, said Huntsville Police Chief Lewis Morris has identified "a few areas where people can stand alongside University Drive and peacefully protest."
Did you get that last sentence?  An area was identified where people can stand alongside (not to be confused with in the middle of) University Drive.
The police had hoped the protestors would be satisfied staging their "die in" - four and a half minutes laying in the road to simulate the four and a half hours Michael Brown's body lay in the street in Ferguson, Mo. - on less busy Wynn Drive.
There's just one hitch, no one could see the die-in  on "less busy Wynn Drive" which kind of defeats the purpose of the protest.
But when protestors asked if they could have four and a half minutes to lie down on University, Police Chief Lewis Morris said yes. Police had the people and equipment in place to stop traffic, it would only take a few minutes, and it would avoid unnecessary confrontation.
Some have made an issue of the protestors not having a permit to do what they did. Morris pointed out that he signs the permits, he was on the scene, and he decided to grant the protestors' request. It wasn't on paper, but it was within his authority to make a spot decision.
Morris could have refused. He could have been indignant and stuck to the letter of the law.
Instead, he was smart, thoughtful and tolerant.
Which goes to show no good deed goes unpunished.  Under the guise of concern for law enforcement,  Dale Jackson forced HPD to provide him with a seven police car escort and block off busy streets during rush hour for a tax payer funded PR stunt.

Oh well, at least he didn't use the official Alabama State Seal on a memo telling democrats to vote the day after the election again.

Note to future protestors, the next time you want to protest, go to city hall and request a permit. They will be more than happy to oblige you.  If not, remind them of the Dale Jackson precedent pictured above.

Snertly sums it up:
While #ShutItDownHSV was performed to draw attention to Ferguson and similar issues, Dale Jackson's stunt is just to draw attention to Dale Jackson.
I'm glad Mr Jackson got his 120 seconds in the lime light, but it's absurd for him to equate laying alone on a public road stroking his ego with a social protest and demonstration involving over a hundred people..

#TamirRice and #JohnCrawford are dead because they were "scaring the s#*t out of everybody", including the police

Listen to the 911 caller report the #TamirRice incident, then watch Tamir Rice being shot seconds after he is confronted by the police.

Read about the 911 call that lead to police shooting #JohnCrawford to death.

It's not the so called black on black crime, it's the easy access to guns people.

Police assume everyone is exercising their second amendment right to be locked and loaded, so they shoot first and ask questions later, out of fear they won't return home to their family at the end of their shift.  Not only do they have to contend with real guns, they have to worry about toy guns that look like real guns and vice verse. It would make the job of the police much easier if they didn't have to figure out the difference between the law abiding citizens and the criminals.  It might save some lives too..

What NOT to do if you're black and stopped by the police

Left in Alabama co-blogger in chief countrycat says " surprisingly people don't know their rights when it comes to interaction with the police", and proceeds to advise white people what their rights are when they are stopped by the police.  Yes, I said advise white people, because black people don't have the same rights.  They just don't, but this is what happens when there is a lack of diversity (for lack of a better word) at Alabama's Informed. Involved.  Progressive. blog of record.

More per countrycat:
This simple sentence: "I do not consent to this search," is one of the most important tools you have to protect your constitutional rights during a police stop.

Now I'm not calling countrycat naive, but the only rights black folks have when it comes interacting with the Po Po is to stay black, and try and live through the interaction.  Politely telling the Po-Po you do not consent to this search is asking to be arrested (if you're lucky),  a mega beat down, or worse.  And the last thing you want to do is reach for your handy know your rights card because police might think you are reaching for a gun.

This really funny video by comedian Chris Rock tells black folks what to do when stopped by the policeIf you follow these easy tips you'll be fine.  Warning video contains raw but real language.

Bloggers and Comedians are the #MainStreamMedia we wish we had

Why are Bloggers and Comedians informing us more than the Mainstream Media about #Ferguson and Eric Garner?
The mainstream news coverage of Ferguson has been driven by a "balanced approach" that's so balanced -- the cop said this happened, some African-American eyewitnesses disagreed and contradicted each other -- so we can never learn anything about what really happened. This is embodied by a New York Times article that looks at the doubts of a grand jury, and emphasizes ambiguities and contradictions in eyewitness accounts. We can only ponder these unfortunate and puzzling mysteries, the article contends:
If you want proof people have sided with #DarrenWilson based on incomplete information look no further than the comments following this article on al.com and this article too

"In the meantime, it's worth looking to comics, bloggers and independent news sites to keep up on what's actually happening."

Saturday Must Reads: On Racial Demonization and Political Demonization

No More Mister Nice Blog

I've long felt that, since the days of Reagan, conservatives have
thrived by modifying the "Southern strategy" demonization of blacks --
the demons now include Democrats, liberals, college professors,
Hollywood stars, feminists, gay people, immigrants, and other groups.
The rhetoric frequently circles back to race, of course -- especially,
needless to say, while we have a black president -- but the same basic
anger is stoked when the top Democrat is Bill Clinton or Nancy Pelosi.

When White Supremacy is respectable again.

So, now we're at the point where beginning to see signs that openly
racist messaging is on the verge of becoming respectable again. When
right-wing politicians start justifying the murder of black citizens by
white police officers regardless of the specifics of the case, we're one
step below the level of just calling for a system that acknowledges
white supremacy as the natural and "correct" order of things. We're just
one step away from openly saying that equality before the law is not
the goal, and never should be. Recent remarks by Rep. Peter King and Rudy Giuliani, plus the openly-expressed sentiments of countless white citizens, indicates that
we're dangerously close to a situation where white supremacy is just one
side of the political argument...again. And we have the Conservative Movement to thank for that.
The information age is actually a media age. We have war by media; censorship by media; demonology by media.
In 2003, I filmed an interview in Washington with
Charles Lewis, the distinguished American investigative journalist.  We
discussed the invasion of Iraq a few months earlier.  I asked him, “What
if the freest media in the world had seriously challenged George Bush
and Donald Rumsfeld and investigated their claims, instead of channeling
what turned out to be crude propaganda?”

He replied that if we journalists had done our job “there is a very, very good chance we would have not gone to war in Iraq.”
It's the Media.  They think we are stupid.

#CrimingWhileWhite # "Dear White People I'm Tired "

Remember how law enforcement officials cut and ran when confronted by an armed posse when Bundy refused to pay his taxes?

Compare and contrast law enforcement officials reaction to American's protesting killing unarmed black people.

Dear White People:  I'm tired
I direct this specifically at white privilege. It wraps you in arrogance and blinds you to how utterly un-inclusive the world you’ve made around you really is. People of color literally fear for their lives around a white person and a gun and we have good reason, especially when we’re unarmed. White people I am tired that you sometimes fail to live in reality. That you continuously prop yourself up and hold the moral high ground as long as you’re better off materially than another group of people. All social markers of superiority and success are in your favor and equality threatens that superiority.
Maybe if there weren't so many guns on the streets Cops wouldn't be afraid they weren't going to get to go home to their family at night.

#TTownforMikeBrown #BlackLivesMatter: Roll Tide!

As a win or lose Auburn Tigers fan I never thought the words Roll Tide would roll off my lips, but I have to give credit, honor, and praise, when credit, honor, and praise, are due.  While UAB students are protesting the demise of their football program, University of Alabama students staged a silent protest of Michael Browns grand jury decision.
TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- University of Alabama students organized a silent protest Wednesday of the grand jury decision in the fatal police shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson.
Student newspaper The Crimson White reported nearly 300 students took part in the protest and sit-in at the Ferguson Center, a hub of campus activity.
Participants wore all black clothing, with many carrying signs and utilizing social media hashtags like #TTownforMikeBrown and #BlackLivesMatter to share photos of the protest.
Some chose to lie down to represent the four hours Brown's body lay in the street on Aug. 9.
Wouldn't it be great if students from Auburn University and the University of Alabama  joined  forces with students from Alabama State University and Alabama A&M University in a massive march with the DREAM one day their children will live in a country where the content of their character is not judged by the color of their skin?  I'm looking sideways at Y-O-U Joe Scarborough, Charles Barkley, Rudy Giuliani, and Casey Wardynski.

#TamirRice: Here we go again....

Gunned down: Tamir Rice, 12, was fatally shot by police on Saturday and passed away on Sunday
Gunned down: Tamir Rice, 12, was fatally shot by police on Saturday and passed away on Sunday

 You know the drill
An African American is killed by police.
Controlling the narrative, police release their version of events and state that they had no other alternative but to use lethal force.
Eyewitnesses, recordings, and indisputable facts counter the police narrative and expose glaring inconsistencies in their story.
The character assassination of the shooting victim and his family begins.
The officers are not punished for what they did.
The family and community are left in a state of grief—fueled by a lack of closure or justice.

Tamir Rice, Rest in Peace Sweet Child.

#MorningJoesGottaGo doubles down on White Privilege/Supremacy

Yesterdays Thugs are today's Hoards.  Poor Joe Scarborough, as a southern white male he just can't refrain from using the public airways to expose the "defense mechanism of white supremacy" that is his mind.  Yesterday, he and his all white and one female panel, smeared a dead teen. Today Joe called black elected officials, four Saint Louis Rams football players, and others, a bunch of lying liars, under the guise he's concerned about the small black business owners in Ferguson.
"If I've offended anybody, offended anybody, by saying what I've said, trust me, 95% of America thinks just like me. Just because there are cowards that won't say that on TV — that's your problem, it's not mine," he said.

Joe must not know  police protected the White side of town while allowing businesses on the Black side to be robbed and burned. At least 12 buildings were on fire. Most protesters, though, were peaceful. At two in the morning the police held a press conference. They blamed protesters for tearing apart “the fabric of the community”.  Businesses will rebuild with insurance and state and federal grants.  Can't bring back a life, but then again black life has no value compared to other things, right Joey?

Joe obviously only read the grand jury testimony that agrees with his version of the facts.  Joe wants us to believe everyone is lying about Michael Brown having his hands up except the person who killed him. If there had been an actual trial instead of a secret trail masquerading as a grand jury  and cross examination of the witnesses and the evidence we would know that one way or the other.

The Morning Joe Cast and Crew  are the perfect example of why ignorance is bliss.
I think this, more than anything, is the source of our trouble when it comes to racial division in this country. The inability of white people to hear black reality—to not even know that there is one and that it differs from our own—makes it nearly impossible to move forward. But how can we expect black folks to trust law enforcement or to view it in the same heroic and selfless terms that so many of us apparently do? The law has been a weapon used against black bodies, not a shield intended to defend them, and for a very long time.
We Shall Overcome.......

One Day

I'm tired of white people telling Black people what to focus on. We can think for ourselves. shut the hell up.

JoeScarborough calling an unarmed dead teen a "Thug" was the last straw for me

So, University of Alabama Alum, red, republican, right wing, congress critter turned Talking TeeVee Pundit Head Joe Scarborough used the public airways to spew misinformation, and smear Michael Brown after some members of the St. Louis Rams football team dared put their hands in the air before the game on Sunday in solidarity with protesters in Ferguson,
Scarborough’s bloviating was unrelenting and exhausting. The talk show host believes the black people supporting the Ferguson based protests are using a poor example by taking up the cause of the “thug” named Mike Brown. As an aside, I think I would like that word to go the way of b*tch, f*g, and ni**er. When do you ever hear that term used against anyone except people of color?
After you watch the video read 8 Thoughts on Joe Scarborough's Ferguson Rant.
 1) There is nothing more insufferable than a pompous white guy telling black people how to act. This should be so damn obvious. Even Joe himself points out the unfairness to black people on the streets and in the courts of this nation. The system is rigged and only a white fool doesn’t know that. The difference is, black people live it. Considering that, imagine having a rich white guy going on television and letting you know what you have the right to be outraged over? A man who can hail a cab with ease, can shop in a retail establishment without being watched, and has many fewer worries about getting shot just because of an accident of birth. At least moderate your damn tone.

Psst! "Dear #ElizabethLauten, I get you’re in that awful Republican party, but you’re a part of America, try showing a little class".

Nothing classy about Elizabeth Lauten's criticism of the Obama girls.
"Dear Sasha and Malia, I get you're both in those awful teen years, but you're part of the First Family, try showing a little class. At least respect the part you play. Then again your mother and father don't respect their positions very much, or the nation for that matter, so I'm guessing you're coming up a little short in the "good role model" department. Nevertheless, stretch yourself. Rise to the occasion. Act like being in the White House matters to you. Dress like you deserve respect, not a spot at a bar. And certainly don't make faces during televised, public events."
Oh really?  Let's Flip the Script.

WASHINGTON (AP) — When first lady Laura Bush counseled her twin daughters on how to behave while campaigning with their father, she may have skipped the part about not sticking your tongue out at the media.
Can you say double standard
The former first lady recalled receiving a letter from someone she knows saying she should tell Jenna Bush how outrageous it was for her to have stuck out her tongue at photographers while traveling with her father on a campaign trip, an act caught on film.
"I wrote the girl back and I said, if you'll pardon me, 98 percent of Americans would like to stick their tongue out at the press," Barbara Bush told ABC, adding that the gesture took place while the press corps was kidding around. "It was so nothing, and it was funny."
Yep, not showing a little class at public televised events  is ok if you are a republican.

Doe-eyed Bristol Palin, 17, and ruggedly handsome Levi Johnston, an 18-year-old self-described "f---in' redneck," have been dating a year, locals in Wasilla, Alaska, told the Daily News. And the pregnancy? An open secret in the close-knit town of 9,780.
Psst! It must be hard to be a republican and an American.
