A study from Harvard’s Berkman Klein Center provides overwhelming evidence that the mainstream media were instrumental in electing Donald Trump. 

The mainstream media’s stubborn refusal to admit culpability in Trump’s election is curious, considering a number of prominent journalists are on record conceding broad-based antagonism toward Clinton in the press.

As far back as 2014, Chuck Todd said, “I don’t think the country has Clinton fatigue. I think the media has Clinton fatigue. You can sort of feel it.”

In the summer of 2015, Jonathan Allen explained the Clinton Rules: “The Clinton rules are driven by reporters’ and editors’ desire to score the ultimate prize in contemporary journalism: the scoop that brings down Hillary Clinton and her family’s political empire.”

In 2016, Mark Halperin admitted that “there’s a deep well of anti-Clinton sentiment in the press.”

It's the white male dominated media.

So, who's the real D*#k?

So you've probably heard by now about how MSNBC suspended the dickslayer, Mark Halperin. A suspension was warranted, but that's hardly the real story. I've been talking about the loser pundits who inhabit our airwaves ever since I started blogging. I've also cried for some real journalism out of cable instead of an environment where lies are allowed to swirl around sacrosanct.

This is The media we have – the arena the public has traditionally relied on to provide accurate, timely, unbiased, newsworthy information has proved incapable of fulfilling its mission. For a host of reasons to numerous to go into here, the media now provides more opinions than facts and tends to focus on confrontation rather than information. For example, three years after the largest economic meltdown in recent history the majority of Americans still don’t understand the true causes of the crisis and the media has done little to explain it.

President Obama paid a visit to the Senate Republican Conference today to have a direct give-and-take on current issues like immigration, the oil spill, and financial reform. Though Obama called the meeting "a good, frank discussion on a whole range of issues," and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said it was "a good exchange, a candid exchange," some people were left more bitter than before. "The more he talked, the more he got upset," said Senator Pat Roberts of Kansas. “He needs to take a Valium before he comes in and talks to Republicans and just calm down, and don’t take anything so seriously."

Will the Obama administration let republicans steal the 2012 election by suppressing democracy again?

I have to say I'm pretty terrified about the short term future of our politics. Republicans are attacking the ability of ordinary people to affect elections in three distinct ways; voter suppression, attacking unions and by dismantling campaign finance laws.

Mo Brooks, a Republican Alabama representative will do anything short of shooting undocumented immigrants. This means ripping and forcing families apart. The Republican party has been hijacked by bigotry. Mo Brooks is a perfect example of it. Each day that passes, the “Big Tent” party is starting to lose it’s salt. The hate and bigotry is rearing it’s ugly head in the south. The old dixiecrat south.

Here's the deal. Not all Hispanics in Alabama are undocumented, uneducated, laborers. Some of Doctors, lawyers, bankers, educators and other professionals. All it's going to take is for Boss Hoggs or Bubba to profile one of them, or their son/daughter/wife/aunt/uncle/cousin and treat them like an Aborigine and It. Will. Be. On. Like. Tyrone.

To bad Congressman Anthony Weiner didn't call blacks Aborigines, Obama a D*#k, and talk about shooting illegals. He might still be in Congress.

I wish President Obama were a real Dick, really I do.

Senior Morning Joke Joker Mark Halprin was *ahem* suspended for saying President Obama acted like a "Dick" because he dared call out the TeaPublicans for destroying the world yesterday. This is the same Mark Halprin who said he didn't know if President Obama was a citizen or not. Oh well, at least he didn't call President Obama an Aborigine. Call me crazy but it sounds like another racist dog whistle to me.

Anyhoo, I wish President Obama were a Dick, then maybe we wouldn't be in this mess. I don't mean a Bush Dick, a Cheney Dick, or a Bohner Dick (pun intended). I mean a Lyndon Baines Johnson Dick, a Franklin D. Roosevelt Dick, an Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. Dick or an Anthony Wiener Dick (no pun). You know, the kind of Dick that kicked butt and took names for the little guys and gals.
