"Was blind but now I see"

Please read this powerful, provocative, and persuasive Facebook post by a young person who has seen the light. You will see the reason people are talking about, and sharing this post

How do you not condemn the waving of the Confederate Flag in front of the White House?
The more I researched about the history of the flag, the worse I felt. What I had been told about its history was wrong. Thousands of southerners still fly the flag with no racist intent. They still defend the good things they’ve been told about the flag. They, like I once was, are WRONG. The flag is a symbol of a way of life that was wrong. Not that it needs to be stated, but slavery is one of the most evil and cruel things this world has ever seen. The Confederate flag represents this evil. Where is the pride in that?"

Why do most Democrats and Liberals speak out of both sides of their mouth? In 1992 when Clinton/Gore used the Confederate Flag during their campaign were you and others offended? I would say no? Wait if it is offensive in 2015 why not in 1992? It's all a liberal media driven frenzy! Why not let the people of each state vote on the issue of the flag? That is the only fair way to settle the ! The flag did not cause Roof to do anything! I could care less if the flag is flown anywhere hate lives in the heart not on a flag pole!!

It's a right wing lie that Clinton and Gore used the Confederate Flag during their campaign. No one said the flag caused Dylan Roof to massacre the Charlestons 9. The Confederate Flag symbolizes racism and oppression. I'm not surprised you could care less if the flag is flown anywhere.
