Why African Americans are on FIRE for Bernie Sanders

On the heels of the announcement that there will be no indictment, and so, no trial in the murder of Tamir Rice, a 12 year old boy shot literally within a second of police officers arriving on the playground, Bernie Sanders called for a federal investigation. He acknowledged police officers have an "impossible job" and went on to say that "as a nation, we have got to recognize that lethal force should be the last response, not the first response - and we're seeing too much, I think, [shootings] in this country."

Writing on his Facebook page, Robert D. Wilson succinctly summarized our tragic circumstances which amount to a reign of terrorism against entire segments of our national body politic.

"White cops nationally are getting away with murder. White lynch mobs with free passes.

Bernie Sanders calls for what should have been done already, a federal probe. Only Bernie seems to give a damn. It is not safe to be Black in America, thanks to the racism displayed by the Republican politicians toward OUR President."

There it is: in retaliation for the people's choice in electing and re-electing President Barack Hussein Obama, we must pay with murderous injustices perpetrated by the very institution charged "to protect and serve" our communities.

Bernie Sanders addresses five areas of racial violence waged against black, brown and indigenous Americans: physical, political, legal, economic and environmental.

Before detailing actions he proposes to take in each of the five areas Senator Sanders wrote:

"We are far from eradicating racism in this country. Today in America, if you are black, you can be killed for getting a pack of Skittles during a basketball game. Or murdered in your church while you are praying. This violence fills us with outrage, disgust and a deep, deep sadness. These hateful acts of violence amount to acts of terror. They are perpetrated by extremists who want to intimidate and terrorize black, brown and indigenous people in this country."

At his packed, rousing rallies, he describes systemic abuses on issue after issue. After each, Bernie regularly intones: "Enough is enough is enough!"

Then he reminds us that "When we stand together, there is nothing we can not accomplish!"

There's barely a month before the primary season begins in earnest, and there are so many things to do. If you want to be part of this peaceful, political revolution, we Bernie supporters welcome you to volunteer.

Donald Trump turns full racist and the other GOP candidates seem like the voice of reason.  Don't fall for the Okey Doke.  This is who/what they are.

The Media enabled #GOPChickens are ducking and dodging #DonaldTrump, but it's too little, much too late

“… like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them…each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.” Senator Barak Obama April 6, 2008
“A certain segment has basically been feeding a kind of xenophobia. There’s a reason why hate crimes against Hispanic people doubled last year. If you have people like Lou Dobbs and Rush Limbaugh ginning things up, it’s not surprising that would happen.” Senator Barak Obama May 22, 2008
You reap...
In its despair and confusion, a large segment of the American populace is prepared to believe anything it’s told, in part because we are a country less and less educated, increasingly unable to tell fact from fiction because we are so unschooled in basic essential knowledge about America and the world.
What you sow..
Donald Trump is standing on a platform of hate that the Republican Party built for him.
Trump’s proposal to bar Muslims from entering this country is hateful, despicable and vile. His statement is a slap in the face to the millions of peace-loving Muslims living here and to those who want to travel and live here.
This sort of racism has been prevalent in Republican politics for decades. Trump is just saying out loud what other Republicans merely suggest.
This is who and what they are.
This is how ALL blacks were transformed into welfare recipients, a whole group of people looking for handouts, although that was a myth. Nope, I take that back it was an outright lie! Images of black women was the old “welfare queen” trick used by Ronald Reagan to drum up negative opinions and attack black women, attaching a negative stigma to them in the process. But more so Reagan used it to stir up negative sentiments towards poor people, which resulted in selfishness and cold heartedness in the charity department. Yup, they want to eliminate help for the poor. It works every time.
Is this who they will always be?
"One of the things we can't do is, we can't let them distract from what we're all about, and what we're trying to accomplish. We're trying to keep the focus on comprehensive, universal health care reform, and they're going all over the place. They are desperate, uh, they don't have leadership, uh, they really don't know what to do, and so, I think we're going to continue to see a lot of crazy things happening, like all of the, uh, outrage that has been demonstrated at these town hall meetings, like the kind of statement that Congresswoman Jenkins made, and let them define themselves, let them reveal who they are. The American public needs to see that."~Representative Maxine Waters (D.CA)

Time will tell the truth
Cooper asked Sanders what evidence he had that the Republican opponents would take Alabama back to Jim Crow days. Sanders said, "Well, there's a certain mean spiritness that's out there, not only in Alabama but it's in America. And that makes this election extremely important."

Update: Dothan, Alabama Whistle Blower Allegations are "Outright Lies"

Police Chief Parrish apparently released a statement today saying the blogger has an agenda and that the documents, while appearing to be official, were redacted by the blogger to promote that agenda.
He also confirmed he had started the Confederate non-profit in which he was pictured, stating:

“I am a history enthusiast,” Parrish said. “My ancestors fought for the South during the Civil War, and I’m proud of it.”
Parrish said in 1999 and 2000 he started a local chapter of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
Nothing to see here.
White said he has already sent Carroll a certified letter demanding a retraction to a post the Henry County Report made recently, which involved accusations against law enforcement in the unsolved murders of Tracie Hawlett and J.B. Beasley in Ozark. White said he represents several of the law enforcement officers accused of wrongdoing in the report posted by Carroll.

“I sent them a certified letter giving them notice to post a retraction in the same manner that they published the defamatory information,” White said. “If they fail to do so we will proceed with a civil suit.”

White said he plans to file a similar certified letter on his own behalf in regard to the report posted on the blog this week alleging public corruption by Dothan police.

White said he had reporters from the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times, among others, contact him Wednesday about the validity of the blog post.

“They’re professional journalists and they called me to find out if there is any basis and fact, they’re doing their job just like he should’ve done,” White said. “I’ve had no one come forward and make an official complaint to be investigated regarding the planting of drugs or evidence. When there was rumor and anonymous complaints made as such they were investigated, later determined to be unfounded. I wouldn’t let any subversive conduct on the part of my staff or myself taint my honesty, integrity and law enforcement legacy which is really the only thing I can leave my sons.”
Stay tuned.

#ShockAndAwe: "Whistle blower cops reveal decades of planting guns and drugs on innocent blacks"

#SweetHomeAlabama!
The Fear is real.
The Alabama Justice Project has obtained documents that reveal a Dothan Police Department’s Internal Affairs investigation was covered up by the district attorney. A group of up to a dozen police officers on a specialized narcotics team were found to have planted drugs and weapons on young black men for years. They were supervised at the time by Lt. Steve Parrish, current Dothan Police Chief, and Sgt. Andy Hughes, current Asst. Director of Homeland Security for the State of Alabama. All of the officers reportedly were members of a Neoconfederate organization that the Southern Poverty Law Center labels “racial extremists.” The group has advocated for blacks to return to Africa, published that the civil rights movement is really a Jewish conspiracy, and that blacks have lower IQ’s . Both Parrish and Hughes held leadership positions in the group and are pictured above holding a confederate battle flag at one of the club’s secret meetings.
"Look away..look away."
Carroll reports that other Dothan police officers filed anonymous complaints with the city manager’s office and police commission in this isolated city of 66,000 people. However, the ensuing investigation apparently went nowhere, prompting them to write an anonymous letter to the region’s U.S. attorney in 2004. The officers, frustated that nothing came of the internal police investigations, provided copies of their letters and other police memos documenting the arrests, allegations and apparent cover-up, Carroll said.
 Look. Away. Dixieland
RoadSnacks.net labeled Dothan “the most redneck city in the entire state of Alabama,” saying it “has the most places to buy guns and ammo and the most number of stores to buy fishing gear per capita in the entire state.” It is not surprising that the top photograph accompanying Carroll’s report showed many of the accused renegade white police officers posing behind a Confederate flag.
We can't even vote them out because Obama..
In 2016, the U.S. will hold the first presidential election in 50 years without the full protections of the landmark Voting Rights Act of 1965 — and thousands of voters in the South will face new barriers to voting. That's because states and counties previously covered under the VRA's preclearance provision requiring federal approval for voting changes were released from those requirements following the Supreme Court's 2013 decision in Shelby County v. Holder.
