EYE am "shocked and appalled" someone left a noose at the first race in Alabama after NASCAR announced it had banned Confederate flags at races and on NASCAR property

Shocked EYE tell you!
“I am shocked and appalled to hear of yesterday’s vile act against Bubba Wallace in Talladega — there is no place for this disgusting display of hatred in our state,” Ivey said in a statement. “Racism and threats of this nature will not be condoned nor tolerated, and I commit to assisting in any way possible to ensure that the person responsible for this is caught and punished. While the important conversation of racial reconciliation is ongoing all over our country, it is clear there is much work to do. Bubba Wallace is one of us; he is a native of Mobile and on behalf of all Alabamians, I apologize to Bubba Wallace as well as to his family and friends for the hurt this has caused and regret the mark this leaves on our state. I ask the NASCAR family to rally around Bubba and his team as they compete today and I know that there are more people who are wishing him well today than ever before.”
Says the Governor who signed the Confederate Monument Protection Act but EYE digress.

EYE am so NOT shocked
The Confederate flags that once flew openly around the infield and stands are still for sale across the street. NASCAR hasn't disclosed how it will handle fans flying flags.
Nor am EYE so NOT surprised
This is why we can’t have nice things in Alabama. Because the redneck jokes write themselves when a bunch of hillbillies get all riled up over not being able to fly their traitor flag at their car racing/beer drinking event.
Fake shock and awe aside you can't have it both ways.  You are either for preserving Confederate monuments and symbols or you are not and this is who/what represents "the disgusting displays of hate" in #SweetHomeAlabama.  It all starts in the home.  Parents are the first teachers.

There is more than a whiff of hypocrisy.
"Shame. Notice the police protecting them. No riot gear. No tear gas. No rubber bullets. He has his back to them scanning the crowd because he identifies with them."
#WeTriedToTellYa
"The danger of Donald Trump is much more extent to my community," Reid said. "It's much more extent to both my immigrant relatives, to African-Americans, to Latinos, it's not about whether or not we can regain our public standing on the world stage and be seen as America, as America was, to people who look like me, it's about imminent danger."
"Donald Trump is dangerous to our families, he's dangerous to our lives," Reid warned. "The, you know, my son, my -- our youngest son goes to Syracuse University, where right now, you know, the manifesto of the Texas shooter is being sent around to immigrant students, to black students, to Asian-American students."

Dear WYPIPO #WeTriedToTellYa is Code for Listen to Black People

And before the "not all white people" whine cranks up if you listened to black people this post is NOT directed at you.

So, how is that peaceful transfer of power thingy working out for you?  Is America Great Again yet?

#WeTiredToTellYa there was something rotten in the cotton in 2016 but did you listen?  Nope.  Because we can't tell ya'll nothin' which means you're incapable of learning or willfully ignorant.

#WeTriedToTellYa you were putting evil in the White House.  We knew what we had to lose.

#WeTriedToTellYa how ignorant Trump and his people are.

"You People be nice don't be threatening" #WhenTheySeeUS

Image

Every black man, woman, and child who have ever heard the words YOU People and threatening knows exactly who/what the speaker is talking about.

There can be no more pretenses.
To be white in America is to assume, with total self-confidence and little afterthought, the personal ownership of public spaces. To be white in America is to have the confidence to say, without a second thought: this space, this neighborhood, this city, this county, this country is mine. Myself and those who look like me have the right to decide who can be here, and even what language can be spoken here. It doesn’t even have to be intentionally malicious. These assumptions just are. They exist inside the American body.
From the moment black and brown people were imported into this country, not as citizens but as worker bodies, transgressing these “white-owned spaces” — from rail cars to restaurants to whole parts of town — could mean humiliation or persecution or even death. It still can today. What has changed is the scale.
So this is not the first time black women reporters have been publically humiliated and disrespected by Trump and it's probably not going to be the last time because everyone knows black women don't deserve respect.
Crenshaw noted that Trump’s attacks on black women are rooted in fear, his own allegiance to patriarchy and an especially toxic brand of masculinity.

“Trump is more vulnerable to them because black women are the political constituency that is the least persuaded by anything he has to say,” Crenshaw said. “They know that a vote for Trump is not a vote for the working class because no group is more working class than them. So, it is not surprising that at the very moment people are starting to recognize that black women are onto something, he sets out to undermine their intelligence and professionalism.”
This is what happens when there is a lack of diversity in mainstream media.
Despite being in majority-minority cities, the newsrooms of The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, for instance, are both 81 percent white. The Washington Post is 70 percent white. Minorities make up 72 percent of the population of Los Angeles, but only 33 percent of the Los Angeles Times. According to the Radio Television Digital News Association, the numbers in other media look slightly better, if still not impressive: in 2018, about a quarter of staffers in TV newsrooms are people of color; in radio, it’s 11.7 percent. The American Society of Magazine Editors doesn’t track racial and ethnic diversity, though its industry’s mastheads remain stacked with old white men.
Enough is Enough!
Sherrilyn Ifill, president, and director-counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, was not satisfied with the responses.

“Trump’s insult of [black female journalists] goes too far. And I will not accept the ‘weary with outrage’ that is supposed to excuse the failure to stand up and refuse to accept this racist treatment of a professional doing her job,” Ifill tweeted. “There are so many serious issues we must confront in the coming days. But we cannot let this pass as business as usual.”She came up with a hashtag to continue organizing: #EnoughIsEnough.

The actress Anika Noni Rose tweeted a suggestion:

“Dear news outlets, you want to do something radical and powerful? Next white house press event with the president, only send your Black woman reporters. #IfYouHaveAny.”

Michelle Norris, a former colleague at The Washington Post and an NPR reporter, replied: “Please make this happen: a room full of black women . . . gathering information.”
What EYE don't understand is why not one of their colleagues stand up for them.  Strike that.  YesEYE do.
It's the media, I won't say stupid, because we aren't stupid, the media just thinks we are stupid.

About That "Draining the Swamp" Thingy....

Former Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY) says "there was not a day that went by that I did not have a stack of red folders on my desk marked 'Top-Secret' that went to the president" about his time as staff secretary to Bill Clinton.

"I made choices and just have to live with them,” Manigault said. When asked if she would vote for Trump again, she said “God no, never. In a million years, never.”

They literally ran an entire campaign about their opponent’s supposedly sloppy handling of classified material.

If we could turn back time, could we, would we?

Eye would like to thank the #Poorly Educated, the #ElectoralCollege, and #Congress for this #FireAndFury

EYE would like to thank Micheal Wolff for his courage.
Everyone around Donald Trump is too polite to Donald Trump. Democrats, foreign dignitaries, underlings… all of them. And the White House press is perhaps the worst offender. From the media pool playing along with Sarah Sanders during press conferences—conferences where Sanders openly lies and pisses on democracy—to access merchants like Maggie Haberman doling out Trump gossip like so many bread crumbs, too many reporters have been far too deferential to an administration that is brazenly racist, dysfunctional, and corrupt.
#WeTriedToTellYa

Toward the end of the count, Waters – who had campaigned for Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential campaign – pleaded for a senator to join her in objecting.
“Is there one United States senator who will join me in this letter of objection?” Waters said to boos from Republicans. None did.
As Waters began to speak, House Speaker Paul Ryan was seen seated behind Biden laughing at the overture.

Who is laughing now?
A con man doesn't necessarily have to be very smart. All that is required is to be smarter than the targets of his con. Eight months into his presidency Donald Trump has provided proof positive that America is wrought with ignorance and epic stupidity. Look no further than his voter base to unearth evidence of the erosion of our national IQ.

About that "peaceful transfer of power" thingy #FireAndFury

According to author Micheal Wolffe,  power was peacefully transferred to a man who didn't think he was going to win, (which technically he didn't) and his allies believe is incompetent.

EYE don't know why everyone is acting all shocked and surprised by the #FireAndFury revelations because #WeTriedToTellYa but did you listen?  Nope.

Everyday there is something new but that's OK #RussiaGate

Support Trump or else!
The most odious of those who are letting Trump drag America into the gutter include Vice President Mike Pence, the leaders in Congress and the pious shepherds of a white evangelical community that continues to give an awful man a pass for every awful thing he does.
When all else fails, blame it on the black guy/gal

But President Trump is doing what he does best: blame someone else for all his self-inflicted problems. Trump’s usual scapegoats are Hillary Clinton, the media, and former President Obama. In fact, Trump blamed the Obama administration for letting a Russian lawyer who initiated the meeting, into the country. Trump claimed that former Attorney General Loretta Lynch permitted Russian attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya to travel into the country, ultimately blaming her for the meeting. Trump exclaimed: “She was here because of Lynch.”

#100Days of media enabled deplorable, shock, awe, horror, and shame

Watch:   The white male dominated media is trying desperately to legitimize the deplorable disaster they enabled.
We traveled to the reddest states that stood firmly behind Trump; to the states that swung from Obama to Trump and helped him win, and to blue states that stayed Democrat.
We traveled to listen, to hear how the first days of Trump's presidency have affected people's lives, thoughts and dreams. Here's what we found: hopes, fears and surprises.
Translation:  We traveled to the reddest states a found people to say what we wanted them to say to promote a media driven false narrative.
Some people are surprised to learn who taxi driver Quinton Posey voted for. Finding a Trump voter in Alabama, even Birmingham, Alabama, is not hard. But Posey is gay. And black. Only 9% of African-Americans in the South voted for Trump. But Posey says Trump's promise of change resonated.
he says, saying recent policies have created a "welfare state" where everyone expects a handout. Instead, he's hoping Republican values of personal responsibility can have an impact on urban communities changing themselves.
Hillary Clinton was never going to win his vote, he admits, as he blames her and former President Bill Clinton for mass incarceration of black Americans.
As for Trump? "I didn't consider anyone else," Posey says. "I thought, 'That's my guy.'
EYE wonder how "hard" it was for the most distrusted name in news to find the one black, gay male who claimed they voted for Trump?   Did they advertise or was he referred by someone?  EYE am betting on the latter.

It's funny what some people will say or do for 15 minutes of infamy.  Someone should tell Quinten Posey former President Bill Clinton is not solely responsible for the mass incarceration of black Americans.  He had lots of help, including the present pResident and #fake Attorney General who wants to bring back the good old days of mass incarceration of black Americans.
While still short on specific policy changes, Sessions has made it clear that he plans to crack down on drugs and immigration while resuscitating the harsh sentencing laws that have given the United States the world’s highest incarceration rate.
Psst Quintin Posey!  You are black and gay, Trump is NOT your guy.
At the Department of Justice, where former Attorney General Loretta Lynch last year delivered an impassioned speech telling transgender Americans, “We see you; we stand with you,” her successor, Jeff Sessions, wasted no time reversing course. The Justice Department in February withdrew guidance issued to schools on the treatment of transgender students, signaling that it would no longer consider their rights to be protected under a 1972 civil rights law."
"I mean, what do we have to lose? Why not try something different?"  Um, THIS is what we have lost Quinton Posey, THIS is what trying something different gets us thanks to the mainstream media for misinforming voters like Y-O-U.

Good luck with that.

Support Trump or Else! #100DaysOfHorror

EYE guess it depends on what the definition of allegedly IS:
The leader of an alt-right group attending California State University, Stanislaus, was caught on video Saturday punching a woman in the face at a protest in Berkeley.
Nathan Damigo was seen in a YouTube video posted by WeAreChange.org on Saturday striking a woman, who immediately fell to the ground. The shot of Damigo, in a blue buttoned-down shirt with rolled up sleeves, was 31 seconds into a more than four-minute video taken from the streets of downtown Berkeley.

The clock is being turned back. Vulnerable populations are under relentless attack by this administration. This is a war, and that is not hyperbole or exaggeration. While folks are hoping that some Russia-related revelation will emerge from the darkness to bring this administration to a calamitous conclusion, the administration is busy rebuilding and reinforcing the architecture of oppression in plain sight.

Meanwhile, Trump claims protestors were allegedly paid to march in rallies all over the country demanding to see his tax returns.

"Tax Marchers Shout Lock Him Up As They Demand The Release Of Trump's Tax Returns #TaxMarch"

You won't see this on TeeVee because it's not a bunch of TeaBaggers screaming about former President Obama's long form birth certificate or former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's emails but on this #TaxDay people are marching all over the country demanding #TheTrumpster release his tax returns.

"We never thought Trump would be this much of a petulant brat." #morningjoe Really?

All EYE can do is shake my head and say #WeTriedToTellYa at the massive hand-wringing, crocodile tears and buyers remorse of Trump's white male dominated media enablers.  In the words of former Vice President Joe Biden " It is over."
In a matter of weeks, President Trump has taken dozens of real-life steps that, if they are not reversed, will rip families apart, foul rivers and pollute the air, intensify the calamitous effects of climate change and profoundly weaken the system of American public education for all.
His attempt to de-insure millions of people who had finally received healthcare coverage and, along the way, enact a massive transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich has been put on hold for the moment. But he is proceeding with his efforts to defang the government’s regulatory agencies and bloat the Pentagon’s budget even as he supposedly retreats from the global stage.
These are immensely dangerous developments which threaten to weaken this country’s moral standing in the world, imperil the planet and reverse years of slow but steady gains by marginalized or impoverished Americans. But, chilling as they are, these radically wrongheaded policy choices are not, in fact, the most frightening aspect of the Trump presidency
"
"It's too late to turn back now
What is most worrisome about Trump is Trump himself. He is a man so unpredictable, so reckless, so petulant, so full of blind self-regard, so untethered to reality that it is impossible to know where his presidency will lead or how much damage he will do to our nation. His obsession with his own fame, wealth and success, his determination to vanquish enemies real and imagined, his craving for adulation — these traits were, of course, at the very heart of his scorched-earth outsider campaign; indeed, some of them helped get him elected. But in a real presidency in which he wields unimaginable power, they are nothing short of disastrous.........Whether it is the easily disprovable boasts about the size of his inauguration crowd or his unsubstantiated assertion that Barack Obama bugged Trump Tower, the new president regularly muddies the waters of fact and fiction. It’s difficult to know whether he actually can’t distinguish the real from the unreal — or whether he intentionally conflates the two to befuddle voters, deflect criticism and undermine the very idea of objective truth. Whatever the explanation, he is encouraging Americans to reject facts, to disrespect science, documents, nonpartisanship and the mainstream media — and instead to simply take positions on the basis of ideology and preconceived notions. This is a recipe for a divided country in which differences grow deeper and rational compromise becomes impossible."
Unintended consequences or karma
The travel guide Frommer’s has set the decline in foreign tourism at 6.8 percent for this year while ForwardKeys points out a 6.5 percent decrease in international travel to the United States in the week after Trump attempted his first Muslim ban back in January.
During that same time period, they found that US bound flights from Western Europe went down 14 percent while these flights from the Middle East crashed 38 percent.
To make matters even worse, the Global Business Travel Association has concluded that “45 percent of European business travel professionals say they are less likely to schedule meetings or events in the US.”
These alarming numbers show that Trump is making people reconsider their trips to the US with his harsh “America First” rhetoric. His obsession with immigrants being criminals, his need for a border wall, the Muslim Bans and his anti-refugee stance don’t help soften the hard edges.
This is what happens when the candidate with the most votes loses

In the words of the late great Maya Angelo "When people show you who they are.... believe them."

FBI Director confirms the FBI is investigating Trump/Russia collusion

Thursday, March 2, 2017

EYE guess it depends on what your definition of lying under oath IS.....

Why is it everytime EYE see a picture of Jefferson Beaureguard Sessions the lyrics to "We're off to see the Wizard"  pop into my head?  EYE think it has something to do with his close association to a certain group who endorsed his boss but EYE digress.

So, it looks like the republican rattlesnakes are beginning to turn on each other now that it's come to light former Alabama Senator and current Attorney General Senator Jeff Session (R. racist Mobile) flat out lied under oath during his confirmation hearing regarding meetings he had with the Russian Ambassador prior to the election.
Republicans and one so-called democrat didn't have a problem unanimously confirming a racist as the Attorney General but now they have a problem?

EYE wonder if they would have voted to confirm Sessions if they knew then what they know now?  Yeah probably. Jefferson Beauregard Sessions was their go-to guy to promote their racist/sexist/bigoted/corporate agenda.

Is Jeff Sessions toast?

Time will tell the truth.

The State of The Union is #Deplorable B-But the Damn Emails.....

EYE refused to watch the #FakeSOTU address but according to the TalkingTeeVeePunditHeads heads and the white nationalist, the speech was a rousing success because Trump managed to read campaign talking points from a teleprompter. Speaking of the teleprompter, remember how republicans mocked President Obama's use of the teleprompter?  But EYE digress.

Has everyone forgotten about Russia and the hacking?  What about the tax returns Trump promised to release?  EYE dare say if this had been President Obama there would have been hell to pay and rightly so.

This is the party who impeached former President Bill Clinton for trying to conceal a private consensual sexual act from his wife, daughter, country and the world.  Why do we know more about Bill Clinton's male member than we know about 9/11, Russian Hacking, and Trump's conflict of interest?
Why? Because it’s in their nature, and the nature of the form, to get caught up in the moment—and to elevate perception over reality.
We the people are not down with the media telling us what they want us to know instead of what we need to know to make informed decisions anymore.  We are sick and tired of #FakeNews.

#SweetHomeAlabama State Senator Cam Ward (R.Alabaster) tweets #AlternativeFacts, blame Twitter users #Apocolypse Day 1

In a misguided attempt to discredit the millions of women (men and children) around the world who protested Trump's Fake Presidency, Alabama State Senator Cam Ward tried to slut shame the Women's March. He probably would have gotten away with it if he had not used social media as his vehicle.  You see, unlike the mainstream media, social media users can and will check you.

There is just one little problem with this photo saying it all...The photo was from an event in 2013 called SlutWalk Chicago, an annual parade that protests sexual assault and violence.  Ooops!

So instead of saying Sen. Cam Ward tweeted a false tweet, good old Alabama Media Group lays the blame on them there Twitter Users.  See how #AlternativeFacts are promoted and enabled by the media? We have research to determine if what is being reported in the "news" is fact or fiction.

Psst, Senator Ward....EYE don't think you want to slut-shame women for organizing to fight for their rights in light of the fact the person occupying the oval office likes to grab women by their private parts,  is being sued for defamation over a sexual assault denials,  and is on his third marriage to someone who has some ahem revealing pictures out there that show it all.  In your attempt to discredit the #WomensMarch your discredited yourself.

EYE am looking at you too Alabama Media Group.  Instead of reporting just the facts you tried to rehabilitate Sen. Ward with a false both sides narrative.  The truth doesn't have "both sides", it's either the truth or it's a lie.  Okay?

So my annual mental health break is over and it's time to jump back on the Donkey and ride. EYE hoped the nightmare would be over by now, but that would mean the Electoral College put our country over their politics and refused to select The Trumpster.  EYE guess it's easier for them to pretend this is the #NewNormal because they sure can't handle the truth.  The fate of our democracy is now in the hands of Congress.  Will they, or won't they certify this farce? Trump to African American and Hispanic Voters: "What the hell do you have to lose?"

Derrick Johnson, president of the Mississippi NAACP, said at a press conference Wednesday that Donald Trump "clings to the hateful and intolerant rhetoric of this country's shameful history — a history that we know all too well."Sarah McCammon/NPR

"You're living in poverty,"  So I will nominate the owner of a deadly coal mine as Secretary of Commerce , and a billionaire as Secretary of the Treasury.
PREVIOUSLY:
Donald Trump said the system is rigged. He said hedge fund managers are “getting away with murder.” He said that he’d “tax Wall Street.” He called Washington D.C. corrupt and promised to “drain the swamp.” He said his opponent Hillary Clinton was too cozy with the banks, as epitomized by her closed-door paid speeches. He said Clinton’s vice presidential nominee, Tim Kaine, was “owned by the banks” and that he, Trump, would break them up. Trump closed his campaign with an ad bashing Goldman Sachs and George Soros, using classically anti-Semitic phrases.
And now, according to The New York Times, ABC and CBS, the president-elect has chosen a second-generation Goldman Sachs partner who worked for George Soros before starting a hedge fund and buying IndyMac, a failing California bank that made billions while foreclosing on homeowners after the financial crisis.
"Your schools are no good" so I will nominate a billionaire education secretary who will gut public schools.
Trump's signature education proposal calls for dedicating $20 billion in federal money to promote "school choice": market-driven education reforms that help families move away from what Trump has called "failing government schools" and instead choose private, religious, or charter schools. The movement for charter schools is bipartisan: Republicans and many centrist Democrats support it. But the DeVos family has been promoting a much more radical idea of choice—one that favors moving public funding to private and religious schools over charters.
"You have no jobs, 58% of your youth is unemployed"  so I am considering nominating the CEO of a fast food chain as Secretary of Labor.
One of the names being mentioned as Donald Trump’s secretary of labor is that of Andrew “Andy” Puzder, a former St. Louis lawyer who is now chief executive of CKE Restaurants Inc., the parent company of Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s.
African Americans and Hispanics are living in hell" So I am nominating a token who  is not qualified to lead the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Carson, who ran against Trump in the 2016 Republican primary, told Fox News last month that he was considering the position. This was a shift from his earlier assertion that he wasn’t qualified for a Cabinet position.

Trump’s choice to nominate Carson is just the latest confirmation that he’s prioritizing loyalty over government experience. One of the president-elect’s first hirings was Steve Bannon, a former Breitbart executive with ties to white nationalists. Bannon was a close adviser to Trump during the campaign.
"You walk down the street and you get shot.” So I am nominating a racist as the Attorney General
In 1986, a bipartisan majority of the Senate Judiciary Committee rejected his nomination to a federal judgeship in the midst of charges of racial bias. For example, Sessions had criticized civil rights groups as “un-American” and “Communist-inspired” and accused them of trying to “force civil rights down the throats of people.” He also dubbed a white civil rights attorney a “disgrace to his race,” according to a witness, and reportedly called a black lawyer in his office “boy.” In his confirmation hearing, he admitted to referring to the Voting Rights Act as “a piece of intrusive legislation,” and he later opposed efforts to update the landmark law.
