#100Days of media enabled deplorable, shock, awe, horror, and shame

Watch:   The white male dominated media is trying desperately to legitimize the deplorable disaster they enabled.  

We traveled to the reddest states that stood firmly behind Trump; to the states that swung from Obama to Trump and helped him win, and to blue states that stayed Democrat.
We traveled to listen, to hear how the first days of Trump's presidency have affected people's lives, thoughts and dreams. Here's what we found: hopes, fears and surprises.

Translation:  We traveled to the reddest states a found people to say what we wanted them to say to promote a media driven false narrative.  

Some people are surprised to learn who taxi driver Quinton Posey voted for. Finding a Trump voter in Alabama, even Birmingham, Alabama, is not hard. But Posey is gay. And black. Only 9% of African-Americans in the South voted for Trump. But Posey says Trump's promise of change resonated.
 he says, saying recent policies have created a "welfare state" where everyone expects a handout. Instead, he's hoping Republican values of personal responsibility can have an impact on urban communities changing themselves.
Hillary Clinton was never going to win his vote, he admits, as he blames her and former President Bill Clinton for mass incarceration of black Americans.
As for Trump? "I didn't consider anyone else," Posey says. "I thought, 'That's my guy.' 

EYE wonder how "hard" it was for the most distrusted name in news to find the one black, gay male who claimed they voted for Trump?   Did they advertise or was he referred by someone?  EYE am betting on the latter.  

It's funny what some people will say or do for 15 minutes of infamy.  Someone should tell Quinten Posey former President Bill Clinton is not solely responsible for the mass incarceration of black Americans.  He had lots of help, including the present pResident and #fake Attorney General who wants to bring back the good old days of mass incarceration of black Americans.  

While still short on specific policy changes, Sessions has made it clear that he plans to crack down on drugs and immigration while resuscitating the harsh sentencing laws that have given the United States the world’s highest incarceration rate.

Psst Quintin Posey!  You are black and gay, Trump is NOT your guy. 

At the Department of Justice, where former Attorney General Loretta Lynch last year delivered an impassioned speech telling transgender Americans, “We see you; we stand with you,” her successor, Jeff Sessions, wasted no time reversing course. The Justice Department in February withdrew guidance issued to schools on the treatment of transgender students, signaling that it would no longer consider their rights to be protected under a 1972 civil rights law."

 "I mean, what do we have to lose? Why not try something different?"  Um, THIS is what we have lost Quinton Posey, THIS is what trying something different gets us thanks to the mainstream media for misinforming voters like Y-O-U. 

Good luck with that.

EYE don't have time to compose a post today but here are some blogs for you to read to find out what's really happening in Amerikkka post-White  folks electing a certified bigot as President of the United States of Ameria.

The third reason Trump won is America is filled with racists.
I don’t care if you don’t want to hear it. It’s true.
Since the election of President Obama in 2008, the growth of race-based hate groups has exploded. The hateful rhetoric surrounding racial discussions is at an all-time high, and much of that is due to the very purposeful division of this country by conservative groups.
They have spent the last eight years convincing many of those stupid white people I mentioned above that Obama was plotting to steal their hard earned money and turn it over to the black people so they can buy spinning rims and lobster with food stamps. Through Fox News, dozens of fake-news websites and hundreds of conservative talking heads on radio, they have spread a message of fear and anger to a group of people who took the bait and swallowed it.

EYE still believe in a place called HOPE and EYE HOPE democrats and like minded republicans have the courage to do the right thing for once.

For diehard Democrats holding out hope that they won’t have to live through a Donald Trump presidency, there is a last, incredibly long shot for them latch onto — a surprise twist in the Electoral College.
Though Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by 200,000, Trump has won the minimum of 270 electoral votes necessary to be elected president. As of late Wednesday, he had 290 to Clinton’s 228.
According to the Constitution, chosen electors of the Electoral College are the real people who will vote for president, when they meet on Dec. 19 in their respective state capitals.
However, there is nothing stopping any of the electors from refusing to support the candidate to whom they were bound or abstaining from voting.
There’s even a name for it: becoming a “faithless elector.”

If there is a silver lining in this fiasco it's that Trump has brought us all together, black, white, red, yellow, brown, men, women, young, old, Jews and Gentiles, rich, poor, gay straight with the common bond Trump is #NotMyPresident the pictorial, which you won't see reported in the mainstream U.S. media because it doesn't fit their false narrative that the system worked.

The Tumpocalypse is coming...be afraid.  Very afraid.

Here's the deal.  If you support Donald Trump you support racism/bigotry and sexism.  There can be no more pretenses. EYE don't care how many black friends you work/play ball with. #OwnIt.

When you come to political rallies carrying signs of the president dressed as an African witch doctorwith a bone through his nose, or send around e-mails depicting the White House lawn covered in watermelons, or throw “ghetto parties” at your fraternity house, replete with blackf ace makeup, your claims of interracial camaraderie are not merely irrelevant to the suggestion that you just might be a racist, more to the point, they are blatant effing lies. The people who claim they have black friends and still do this kind of thing are liars, plain and simple. Every one of them. No exceptions.

How often did morning news and Sunday shows allow Trump to literally “phone it in” from Trump Tower or his Mar-a-Lago estate instead of taking the trouble to visit a TV studio in person? Morning Joe co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski have practically adopted him. Don’t be surprised if they broadcast live from “Fourth of July with the Trumps.”
Even last summer, when much of the media thought the Trump phenomenon might burn itself out or self-destruct because of his outrageous and incendiary statements, the media were still all Trump, all the time. There have been estimates that Trump received the equivalent of $2 billion in free media attention.

Dana Jones, a found member of the FTC, said it made perfect sense for the flag to be there at the first capital of the Confederacy. Her reasoning? She wants it to spark interest in the role the state of Alabama played in the Civil War. According to Jones, as descendants of the Confederacy, their Confederate lives matter just as the lives of blacks.
When asked if she didn’t think the flag was a “slap in the face” against the predominantly black university, Jones responded: “I’m not prejudiced (or) racist, I am a Christian.”

Alabama is number one, y'all. Gov. Bentley was the first to step up and declare our great state the last place on earth the Syrian refugees are welcome.

Uh, would someone please tell these elected *cough cough* officials the Federal Government is the largest employer in the state of Alabama, and,  Sweet Home Alabama get's more FEDERAL dollars than any state in the UNION?  EYE mean, really, what are they thinking? Talking about biting off your nose to spite your face.

Congress should use the power of the purse to prevent the president from pursuing his plan to resettle Syrian refugees in the United States, Alabama's two Republican senators said Tuesday.

Maybe there is a method to their madness, but don't say anything when the President of the United States of America uses his executive power and his veto pen as the big payback.

Governor Bentley: We need to protect people of our state from them there refugees

#PatelAlabama: Governor apologizes to the government of India for Alabama police treating one of their citizens like "a skinny black man"

Just in case you missed it, our Governor was interviewed on CNN this morning pontificating about his stand on the state line to keep Alabamans safe from them there Muslims, EYE mean, Syrian refugees.  He really didn't have a good reason to offer, so he named dropped that he was with Condolezza Rice yesterday, who allegedly told him Syria should set up a refugee camp over there to contain them.

This is the same Condolezza Rice who was the National Security Advisor that gave pResident George W. Bush a daily briefing one month prior to the 9/11 attacks that said Osama determined to attack inside the U.S. and didn't know what that meant.  The same Condolezza Rice who was the Secretary of State before, during and after Hurricane Katrina.

Governor Bentley also name dropped the director of Homeland Security, and the FBI, both of which are federal agencies, as in the federal government, as in the federal government he plans to obstruct and defy in order to keep Alabamans safe from them there refugees.  The same federal government that is the largest employer in Sweet Home Alabama.

More Alabamians have died from guns, natural disasters, and because they don't have access to quality affordable health care than from Muslims, EYE mean, refugees.  But don't let a little thing like facts get in the way of bigotry in the name of The Lord.  Our Governor kept saying he was at war with his heart and his head, and his head was winning.  As someone who claims to be a Christian doesn't he realize baby Jesus and His parents were refugees?

To make the irony more explicit, Bentley will be joined at the conference with the Japanese by Martin Luther King III. An Alabama Governor is meeting with the Japanese – a population that America once forcibly detained for fear of the color of their skin – and is accompanied by the son of a man who Alabama once detained for fear of the color of his skin. The only thing that could make it more ironic would be if they convened in Huntsville, a city that prospered as the result of Alabama welcoming German scientists in the wake of World War II.

You can't

Just in case there is any doubt, President Obama has explicit statutory authorization to accept foreign refugees into the United States. Under the Refugee Act of 1980, the president may admit refugees who face “persecution or a well-founded fear of persecution on account of race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion” into the United States, and the president’s power to do so is particularly robust if they determine that an “unforeseen emergency refugee situation” such as the Syrian refugee crisis exists.

Despite popular and uniformed opinion, Alabama is still a part of the United States of America.  Sir.

The problem for Jindal, Abbott and the other governors opposed to admitting refugees, however, is that there is no lawful means that permits a state government to dictate immigration policy to the president in this way. As the Supreme Court explained in Hines v. Davidowitz, “the supremacy of the national power in the general field of foreign affairs, including power over immigration, naturalization and deportation, is made clear by the Constitution.” States do not get to overrule the federal government on matters such as this one.

Bigotry was on full display in South Carolina yesterday as more than 50 protesters and KKK members brandished Confederate flags and yelled racial slurs at a rally that overlapped with black activists’ protests at the statehouse. For many in attendence, the scene displayed that that America is "still a racist nation":

Who knew Shaq O'Neal was #14 on the list of 100 Most Influential African-American Republicans?

For the record, a black person being a republican is like a Turkey being for Thanksgiving IMHO.  Never the less, there are some who just can't help themselves as evidenced by the list of the 100 most influential African-American Republicans, according to Newsmax.

"Probably the biggest comment they have on the (website is) 'You mean there are 100 of them,"

Most on the list were the usual suspects Herman Cain, Artur Davis, Tim Scott, Condolezza Rice, Alan Keys, Colin Powell, and of course Ben Carson.  But there were some surprises too,  Who knew L.L. Cool J, James Earl Jones, and Shaq O'Neal were Sellouts, I mean among the 100 Most Influential Black Republicans?  My first clue should have been when Shaq endorsed Chris Christie for Governor.

To my LBGT brothers and sisters,  I'm happy The Supreme Court overturned the Defense of Marriage Act, paving the way for same sex marriage, but I can't join in your celebrations because the Supreme Court resurrected the ghost of George Wallace and overturned the Voting Rights Act ,thereby bringing Jim Crow back with a vengeance.

Yes, bigotry is dying for some,  but it's not dying when it comes to poor, black/brown people having equal rights, and now we are forced to depend on the gop infused, media enabled, TeaPublicans to give us a new Voting Rights Act.

Suspicious Flipping Tweets

The Orlando Sentinel recently reported that the judge in the Trayvon Martin second degree murder case signed an order requiring the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to release biographical profiles of key witnesses in the case to George Zimmerman's defense attorneys. The case is scheduled to begin on June 10, 2013.

The material released, including some criminal background material, is expected to provide fodder to defense attorneys seeking to undermine the credibility of witnesses to the crime that left the 17 year old teen, armed with Skittles and ice tea, dead on the lawn from a handgun blast. The shooter, identified as George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer, had been directed by a police dispatcher not to approach the hoodie-wearing teen. Zimmerman said he thought Trayvon looked "suspicious" walking in the drizzle, so, armed with his handgun, he followed Trayvon.

But we know all that.

In another bizarre twist, just days after the Florida judge ordered the release of the biographical material, George Zimmerman's brother, Robert, stirred up a Twitter firestorm yesterday by comparing the deceased Trayvon to an alleged killer based on the similarity that they were both photographed flipping the bird. Gasp!

Brother Robert went on to conclude that "society thinks 'blacks mightB risky.'" On the surface, Robert was referring to the Brunswick, GA killing of a 13 month old boy in his stroller.

But below that surface, Robert managed to conflate ideas supporting his own brother's defense. To begin the tweet, Robert displayed two young black men, side by side, each flipping off: on the left is the alleged baby killer; the other is Trayvon. While it's often true that a picture is worth a thousand words, Robert's 140 character tweet belied his ulterior motive: to reinforce the notion that Trayvon was the assailant and George was merely defending himself that misty night.

Apparently not content to cast dispersions by conflating the picture with the events, Robert went on to suggest that "what these2 black teens did 2 a woman&baby is the reason ppl think blacks mightB risky" reinforcing brother George's allegation that Trayvon was "suspicious" for wearing a hoodie in the rain. And, of course, casting race-based suspicions on all blacks.

After all, Robert leads us to believe that people think blacks mightB risky. That's right, isn't it?

The time to inform democratic voters the democratic nominee for the Supreme Court is a bigot is BEFORE the democratic primary not AFTER the fact.  It's kind of like trying to UN-RING a Bell.

There is a huge disconnect between the Big Cats and the Big Dogs within the ADP , which manifest itself in the Big Cats deciding who should represent the interest of Alabama's   poor/black/brown citizens. 

Instead of trying to un-ring a bell, why isn't the ADP organizing in support of former Governor Don Siegelman instead of offering prayers for him and his family?

Again- para quoting the late Civil Rights Activist Fannie Lou Hammer, you can pray until you are blue in the face but unless you get off your knees and do something, God isn't going to give you anything.
