Are Independents pro choice?
Are Independents pro unions?
Are Independents pro health care?
Are Independents pro tax cuts for the rich?
Are Independents pro nation building?
If the answer to any or all of the questions is yes, you are not an Independent, you are a Democrat.
If the answer to any or all of the questions is no, you are not an Independent, you are a republican.
I'm sick and tired of being held hostage by the so called Independents. And, I'm sick and tired of the Talking TeeVee Pundit Heads and the Polling Pollsters pandering to the so called Independents at the expense of the traditional democratic base.
Independent of what?
Independent of who?
The Independents need to decide what side of the fence they are on. They are either with or they are against us.

Independents are largely fence-sitters or people so disgusted with both parties that they feel the need to not affiliate with either, despite having views that lean toward one or another.
So are they with us or against us?
Neither! It depends on the issue at hand.
yes
yes
no
no
yes
I agree: Independents don't exist. In them, we're not seeing a difference of kind, but a difference of degree and, in the end, Independents will embrace whichever political party that they hold a special affinity with, be it the Democratic Party, or Republicans.
Because they seem to be a new political animal, they get fed from both the Right and the Left, from the Left more than the Right, because the Republican animal, and TeaPublican animal thrive on "red meat," can't live without it, and will wail relentlessly, if meat is thrown to any other group but them.
In retrospect I should have asked are you a Bernie Sanders Independent or a Joe Lieberman Independent.
What's up with the Obama care repealing part of it? They don't even like it. ha ha ha
What's up with you not staying on topic? That is why you stay on speed ignore. ha ha ha
I know it's your blog but you never want to blog about Obama and his mistakes or his staffs mistakes a true liberal!
Bernie Sanders (a Progressive Independent ["democratic socialist"]) caucuses with Democrats, as do Joe Lieberman, despite endorsing John McCain for president.
Joe Lieberman causes with republicans more than democrats.

"Joe Lieberman causes with republicans more than democrats."
How legislators caucus isn't a reliable predictor of how they will vote on a given measure. Consider the following:
"October 11, 2011 4:50 PM
[...]
"The Senate will take up the American Jobs Act tonight, and ...the bill won’t come close to getting 60 votes.
"When members of the Democratic caucus — Ben Nelson, Joe Manchin, and Joe Lieberman — vote with Republicans tonight, they’re not only rejecting a credible jobs bill, they’re also rejecting an opportunity to talk about a credible jobs bill. Republicans and conservative Dems are, as a practical matter, saying that the notion of even debating the American Jobs Act is so offensive, they can’t even allow members to begin the discussion."
Point taken.
