Everyday there is something new but that's OK #RussiaGate

Support Trump or else!
The most odious of those who are letting Trump drag America into the gutter include Vice President Mike Pence, the leaders in Congress and the pious shepherds of a white evangelical community that continues to give an awful man a pass for every awful thing he does.
When all else fails, blame it on the black guy/gal

But President Trump is doing what he does best: blame someone else for all his self-inflicted problems. Trump’s usual scapegoats are Hillary Clinton, the media, and former President Obama. In fact, Trump blamed the Obama administration for letting a Russian lawyer who initiated the meeting, into the country. Trump claimed that former Attorney General Loretta Lynch permitted Russian attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya to travel into the country, ultimately blaming her for the meeting. Trump exclaimed: “She was here because of Lynch.”

Remember when republicans enabled by the white male dominated media accused candidate Obama of "palling around with terrorists"?

Let's recap

During the 2008 U.S. presidential campaign, controversy[1] was manufactured regarding Barack Obama's relationship with Bill Ayers, a Distinguished Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a former leader of the Weather Underground, a radical left organization in the 1970s.[2] Investigations by CNNThe New York Times and other news organizations concluded that Obama did not have a close relationship with Ayers.[3][4][5]
Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn, hosted a gathering at their home in 1995,[6] where Alice Palmer introduced Obama as her chosen successor in the Illinois State Senate.[4][7] Obama and Ayers' nine years of service on the board of directors of the Woods Fund of Chicago overlapped for three years from 1999 to 2002.[4][6][7]
The matter was first raised by the British and American press, then by conservative blogs and talk radio programs,[8][9][10]and then by moderator George Stephanopoulos during a debate between Hillary Clinton and Obama in April 2008. The Obama-Ayers connection was used as a major campaign issue by Republican presidential candidate John McCain and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin during the 2008 presidential election campaign. Obama has condemned Ayers' past,[11][12] and stated that he does not have a close association with him
.
Remember when republicans enabled by the white male dominated media forced candidate Obama to renounce reject and repudiate his longtime pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright for preaching truth to power?
The Jeremiah Wright controversy gained national attention in the United States, in March 2008 when ABC News, after reviewing dozens of U.S. Presidentialcandidate Barack Obama's pastor Jeremiah Wright's sermons,[1] excerpted parts which were subject to intense media scrutiny.[2][3] Wright is a retired senior pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago and former pastor of President Obama.[4] Obama denounced the statements in question, but critics continued to press the issue of his relationship with Wright. In response to this, he gave a speech titled "A More Perfect Union", in which he sought to place Wright's comments in a historical and sociological context. In the speech, Obama again denounced Wright's remarks, but did not disown him as a person. The controversy began to fade, but was renewed in late April when Wright made a series of media appearances, including an interview on Bill Moyers Journal, a speech at the NAACP, and a speech at the National Press Club.[5] After the last of these, Obama spoke more forcefully against his former pastor, saying that he was "outraged" and "saddened" by his behavior, and in May he resigned his membership in the church.[6]
Fast forward to today and the media's mass hysteria over collusion with Russia is out of control
Anyway, Trump Jr. took the one-off meeting, and nothing happened. Is that not proof of non-collusion in and of itself? If you choose to believe otherwise, your disdain for President Trump is getting the best of you and you need help.
B-But the damn emails.....

Terra Lert Level Orange!

Remember the Bush era color-coded terror alerts?  Well, EYE think it's time we bring them back because we are not safe.  As usual, House DEMs are carrying the water, demanding to know what Trump knew and when did he know it about Flynn's contact with the Russian Ambassador while President Obama was still in office.  Some (not to be confused with all) republicans are saying move along there is nothing to see here while the White House Press Secretary uses skype to give airtime to right-wing wingnut propaganda as a weapon of mass distraction.  Now if this were President Hillary Clinton's administration they would be chanting Lock her Up louder than coyote howling at a full moon.

Today will live in infamy as #TheDayDemocracyDied

Despite the white male dominated media spin about the peaceful transfer of power and this is how the system works, this is a false narrative. The system failed, and they enabled it.  The bloodstains of our democracy are on their hands.

EYE am posting this video today in honor and memory of our late democracy.  Watch it and weep.

RedEyes Post Election Rundown

EYE don't have time to compose a post today but here are some blogs for you to read to find out what's really happening in Amerikkka post-White  folks electing a certified bigot as President of the United States of Ameria.
The third reason Trump won is America is filled with racists.
I don’t care if you don’t want to hear it. It’s true.
Since the election of President Obama in 2008, the growth of race-based hate groups has exploded. The hateful rhetoric surrounding racial discussions is at an all-time high, and much of that is due to the very purposeful division of this country by conservative groups.
They have spent the last eight years convincing many of those stupid white people I mentioned above that Obama was plotting to steal their hard earned money and turn it over to the black people so they can buy spinning rims and lobster with food stamps. Through Fox News, dozens of fake-news websites and hundreds of conservative talking heads on radio, they have spread a message of fear and anger to a group of people who took the bait and swallowed it.
EYE still believe in a place called HOPE and EYE HOPE democrats and like minded republicans have the courage to do the right thing for once.
For diehard Democrats holding out hope that they won’t have to live through a Donald Trump presidency, there is a last, incredibly long shot for them latch onto — a surprise twist in the Electoral College.
Though Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by 200,000, Trump has won the minimum of 270 electoral votes necessary to be elected president. As of late Wednesday, he had 290 to Clinton’s 228.
According to the Constitution, chosen electors of the Electoral College are the real people who will vote for president, when they meet on Dec. 19 in their respective state capitals.
However, there is nothing stopping any of the electors from refusing to support the candidate to whom they were bound or abstaining from voting.
There’s even a name for it: becoming a “faithless elector.”
If there is a silver lining in this fiasco it's that Trump has brought us all together, black, white, red, yellow, brown, men, women, young, old, Jews and Gentiles, rich, poor, gay straight with the common bond Trump is #NotMyPresident the pictorial, which you won't see reported in the mainstream U.S. media because it doesn't fit their false narrative that the system worked.

The Tumpocalypse is coming...be afraid.  Very afraid.

You are who/what you vote for #PresidentialDebate2016

Nothing's Changed
Racism:  A Clear and Present Danger

EYE repeat, the election of President Barack Hussein Obama defined the United States of America for who/what we really are. The debate last night was an EYE opening moment, a clear and present danger,  enabled by the white male dominated media.

EYE am saddened HOPE for Change we Can Believe In has descended to a new low of ugliness and buffoonery.  And they wonder why Colin Kaepernick and others are refusing to stand for the National Anthem?  The mere fact Donald Trump is the republican nominee for President of the United States of America is Shocking and Shameful.

Allegiance: To a Song, Flag or Our American Ideals?

Colin Kaepernick said: "I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses Black people and people of color," Kaepernick told Steve Wyche of NFL Media. "To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way.

There are bodies in the street and people getting away with murder." The biracial athlete, adopted and raised by white parents, has become an outspoken supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement."

As an honorably discharged Army veteran (if I need to establish my credibility to speak on this) my opinion is that Colin is simply protesting the repeated daily dangers, including murders, facing civilians from police officers. I don't know how I could reject that sentiment, or undermine the American righteousness of Colin's protest.

Almost 70% of the NFL players are black. Imagine the statement they would make this season if they remained seated during the National Anthem. Worldwide, there are an estimated 400 million American football fans - imagine the impact!

It's a difficult choice, as Myke Tavarres, the Philly Eagles rookie free agent, realized.

"Really, what's at stake is my pride and what kind of man would I be and what kind of African-American would I be if I didn't stand my ground on this issue we have today."
It wasn't easier for Josh Earnest, speaking for President Obama.
"What I can say is that I certainly don't share the views that Mr. Kaepernick expressed after the game in explaining his reasoning for his actions," Earnest, the White House's top spokesman, said."
It sounds like more divisiveness from a white man parsing words instead of listening for and hearing the authentic message. Actually, his position statement sounds at odds with his boss's, when President Obama spoke about two police-involved shootings in July.
"When incidents like these occur, there's a big chunk of our fellow citizens that feels as if because of the color of their skin, they are not treated the same - and that hurts," Obama said, ... "And that should trouble all of us. This is not a black issue. It's not just a Hispanic issue. This is an American issue that we should all care about."

The national anthem was penned during an 1814 battle, but its most poignant and, in this case, applicable stanza to this controversy was penned by Oliver Wendell Holmes.

"When our land is illumined with Liberty's smile,
If a foe from within strike a blow at her glory,
Down, down with the traitor that dares to defile
the flag of her stars and the page of her story!
By the millions unchained who our birthright have gained,
We will keep her bright blazon forever unstained!
And the Star-spangled Banner in triumph shall wave
While the land of the free is the home of the brave."
"Yes, Kaepernick is an American success story, but that shouldn't cause him to shrug off what he recognizes as injustice. Rather, it gives him a chance to speak about an issue that many don't have the platform to address. There are large segments of the population who feel the police are both empowered and immune to prosecution for their misdeeds. There are people who live in fear, every day, that they will be shot and killed for a broken taillight simply because they are black. For those people, America is not the "land of the free."

It is a place where a 12-year-old boy in Cleveland can be fatally shot outside a rec center because someone deemed him menacing. It's a place where a citizen vigilante can pursue a teenager for the crime of wearing a hoodie. It's a place where one false move - or no false move - carries a deadly risk. For many of us, the American flag is reassurance that we will be protected. In the minds of others, that flag offers no such guarantees. Those are truths that some hold to be self-evident, even if they are hard for the majority to see. If the rich and famous do not shine a light to that inconsistency, who will?"

I don't support Colin grudgingly, but rather with pride, for he speaks to the highest ideals our nation espouses, and has yet to fulfill, to all its citizens, regardless. Blacks and people of color may be "unchained" but each day they face lives filled with the abject possibility of being harassed, ostracized, injured and murdered by police, secure in the conspiracy of silence among the thin blue line.

So when a man protests the inequality of oppression of those who are forced to exist without the birthright promise of America, it is my duty and my honor to support him.

EYE love how "Freedom of Speech" applies to everyone but African Americans #WhitePrivilegeMeans

In case you've been living under a rock, the first black Miss Alabama, Kayln Chapman James was suspended from her job for daring to publicly express her innermost thoughts and feelings about current events on live on Facebook.   Gasp!   EYE mean, how dare she exercise her first amendment rights in the land of the free and the home of the brave?  She should know by now democracy applies to everybody but Black Folks, especially since we have an African American President, but EYE digress.
Public TV station suspends former Miss Alabama for comments

Kayln Chapman James isn't only one being ostracized, crucified, and arrested for speaking out and taking a stand , the WNBA Minnesota Lynk Basketbal team found out Freedom isn't Free  too.

itemprop

EYE want you to compare and contrast the actions of these women of color to what former United States Congressman (yes you read it right) Joe Walsh threatened President Obama's life on Twitter.

Now, compare and contrast the consequences Joe Walsh faced.

Lemon asked Walsh if he stood by his words on Twitter.
"Yeah. Oh, absolutely, because I stand by what I meant, Don," Walsh said. "I didn't intend to say everybody go threaten Barack Obama or incite violence against Barack Obama. I don't know of a sane person that would do that. That's not what I meant, Don."
He told Lemon he made that remark because he's "pissed off" and "there really is a war on our cops."
EYE will wait.

Thanks to the #MSM, the #GOP can't even pretend to be the "Party of Lincoln" anymore #ReapingWhatYouSow

This is who they are

How often did cable news shows cut away from scheduled programming to show us a live Trump rally? Sometimes even interrupting a speech from another candidate? How often did morning news and Sunday shows allow Trump to literally “phone it in” from Trump Tower or his Mar-a-Lago estate instead of taking the trouble to visit a TV studio in person? Morning Joe co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski have practically adopted him. Don’t be surprised if they broadcast live from “Fourth of July with the Trumps.”
Even last summer, when much of the media thought the Trump phenomenon might burn itself out or self-destruct because of his outrageous and incendiary statements, the media were still all Trump, all the time. There have been estimates that Trump received the equivalent of $2 billion in free media attention.
“It really is astonishing how the Republican Party operates in its own reality, where facts don’t matter and the truth is whatever they say it is. Eight years of barely disguised racism and partisan obstructionism justified by vague appeals to whatever “real conservatism” might be has left the Republican voter base furious at an establishment that is flagrantly disregarding the demands of their constituents and failing to fulfill their constitutional obligations. The Republican Party has made their own bed in the muck of ignorance and discrimination, and now they must watch as Donald Trump gleefully frolics in it
They (the GOP) have defined themselves for who/what they really are.  The Party of Racist/Bigoted/Sexism.

Happy now?

Say, Have You Seen My Democracy? #VoteForYourLife

Sharing with permission, this up close and personal account of a Donald Trump rally via Facebook.  Read it and Weep. ~RedEYE

(The guy in the suit is a Trump Secret Service agent)

This is what I will say about the Trump rally I attended Saturday...alone.

It was scary. This man knows just what to say to fire up his crowd, no matter how factually inaccurate it may be.

Wall! ISIS! Kill Them! Mexico!

Then there was the blatant fear mongering. He told Ohioans that only oil was propping up their state, and that their economy was in serious trouble. He said this over and over again.

He also told the crowd that ISIS was out to kill them. That ISIS was putting 50 people at a time in cages and drowning them in the ocean. And that we had to kill them first.

Cheers for water boarding. Cheers for torture. Calls to cut off their heads.

If this was a brown person saying the exact same things in the Middle East, we'd call them a dangerous terrorist. But since it's a white man in America, we call him a Presidential Candidate.

The scariest part was the crowd. They loved everything that was being said. The calls for the wall. The calls to blow up oil fields. The calls to torture and kill people.

And the protesters. Every time a protester was kicked out, they were yells to get them out of here, even to KILL THEM!!!

Really? Kill them? For protesting?

When Trump brought up Obama, a teen even exclaimed "F+CK THAT NI&&ER!!!!"

I felt like at any point, the crowd was going to light torches and grab their pitchforks, and spill out into the streets.

The worst part was when their venom turned toward me. There were protesters around me who got ushered out, and then people started pointing at me, motioning for the Secret Service to "get him out of there".

Now mind you, I hadn't uttered a single word the entire rally, but people still said things like "Well what about this one? He needs to go too!"

At this point, the black kid that grew up in the projects, surrounded by drugs and gunfire, felt CONCERNED for his safety...at a Donald Trump rally.

At that rally, I saw the scary underbelly of America. I saw unadulterated hate, fueled by intentional misinformation.

These people who, just 2 hours ago, seemed like good and kind people, were now cheering for blood.

The worst part is Donald Trump knows EXACTLY what he's doing. He's patterned his campaign after a WWE match...

And it's working.

RedEye's Rundown #BlackHistoryMonth2016

White America's Broken Heart
Much of America’s past is the story of white people benefiting from a system that white people designed and maintained, which increased their chances of success as it suppressed those same chances in other groups. Those systems persist to this day in some disturbing ways, but the current, vociferous naming and challenging of those systems, the placing of the lamp of truth near the seesaw of privilege and oppression, has provoked a profound sense of discomfort and even anger.

Here we go again.

Repeat

Today is a day of remembrance as we celebrate the life of #MalcolmX! 51 years ago today Malcolm X was assassinated at the Audubon Ball Room in Washington Heights!

“No, I don’t worry,” Malcolm X said. “I tell you, I’m a man who believes that I died 20 years ago and I live like a man who is dead already. I have no fear whatsoever of anybody or anything.”

Two Blast from the Past Re-Post about the Supreme Court, Affirmative Action, and Black Women

1373254314_images_covers_slideshow_266cover
Kamala Harris (Kevork Djansekian/Getty); Janice Rogers Brown (Win McNamee/Getty); Leah Ward Sears (Schiff Harden LLP)
In light of the sudden death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scala, Presidents Obama's vow to fill the vacancy ASAP, and the GOP's promise to obstruct him,  EYE invite readers to read these post written the last time there was a vacancy on the supreme court.

Seriously, I thought with the election of Barack Obama, America had entered a "post racial" era, and the country had "moved past race" (what ever the heck that means)? Evidently it's not about being the most qualified, or the "content of ones character" when it comes to United States Supreme Court nominees. Evidently it's about being white, attending Yale or Harvard, and being Catholic and/or Jewish. Qualified, competent, protestant/atheist, African Americans, male or female need not apply. Especially if you didn't matriculate at Yale or Harvard.
During the selection process, Obama reviewed the writings of two dozen potential Justices. That list was narrowed to 10 for more research. Obama and Biden spoke with four candidates privately, including both Kagan and Seventh Circuit Judge Diane Wood, who were both finalists last year for the open seat that went to Sonia Sotomayor. Klain said Obama heard from several Senators about a desire to find someone, like Kagan, who had not already served as a judge.
Update:  According to Presidential Adviser David Axelrod, Justice Antonin Scalia rooted for Elena Kagen's nomination.  Who knew?
Less than a day after Scalia's death, David Axelrod, in a CNN blog post, shared a little-known anecdote about the 79-year-old justice: He was pulling for the nomination of liberal Justice Elena Kagan.
As President Barack Obama's senior advisor at the time, Axelrod recalled Scalia bending his ear over who should replace the retiring Justice David Souter while the two were tablemates at the 2009 White House Correspondents' Dinner.

Affirmative Action is for white women only
I find it troubling President Obama cites the trials and tribulations of the late civil rights activist Dr. Dorothy I. Height when she was refused admittance to Barnard College because they already had their quota of African American women, then over looks highly qualified Judge Diane Woods in favor of the less qualified Solicitor General Elana Kagen.

Paging President Obama, Vice President Biden, Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, Somebody please help us #BlackHistoryMonth2016

Dear All,
EYE know you like to come to Alabama to take pictures raise money, and give speeches , but we are in desperate need of some some substantive help down here in Sweet Home Alabama.
The White House announced President Obama plans to visit #Selma on March 7, 2015 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Bloody Sunday and the signing of the Voting Rights Act, which was gutted under his administration, but I digress.
EYE hate to say it, but your election seems to have bought out the worst in white Alabamians.  Because we dared get out and vote for you twice, EYE fear they have lost their collective minds.
If the cries of Montgomery politicians under indictment don’t generate sympathy, certainly the lamentation of unemployed workers in the Black Belt does. One effect of the bribe-induced Riley-Canary war on bingo in Alabama is the closure of bingo operations in Greene, Macon and Houston Counties, that employed literally thousands of workers, and brought millions of dollars annually to local government treasuries. We all wish that overwhelmingly black Greene and Macon Counties had bulldozers clearing land for new automotive and electronics plants, or for high-powered biology labs or computer engineering firms, but that’s the progress of the next generation. Right now, those counties are absolutely dependent on the entertainment and gaming business for their economic survival, and Obama’s what-me-worry attitude about Canary has placed that survival in jeopardy. Even in the white-majority Wiregrass, it’s probably safe to assume that Country Crossing employed a fair number of African-Americans in its service sector jobs. Had Bob Riley needed to worry about a U.S. Attorney with integrity in Montgomery, he would likely not have earned his Mississippi Choctaw bribes by shutting down the bingo halls, and the Legislature would probably have put a bingo referendum on this November’s ballot. As it is, there is no way to know when, or if, these businesses will reopen. At some point, even the President’s biggest supporters have to ask if he’s paying attention.
EYE know you are busy with ISIS and all but could you spare us some of your time and attention too? There is a mean spirit on the loose with our Governor leading the pack.   EYE need you to come to Alabama and do for the people who did vote for you, what you did for the people who didn't vote for you.  And could you please hurry?
Because Bentley has refused to accept assistance from the federal government, almost entirely out of political posturing, many working Alabamians — people with jobs, trying to do their part — who are caught in the so-called health care gap have to go without coverage of any kind.

Stupid is as Stupid does in #SweetHomeAlabama #BlackHistoryMonth2016

EYE am still fuming at Governor Bentley's "bold ideas" for Alabama outlined in his annual State of the State Address.  If you don't read another thing EYE post, please read:  Governor Bentley thinks the Grinch is Santa Clause by Stranger in a Strange Land. The analysis is on point.
grinch

I think the Governor, like little Cindy Lou Who (who was no more than two), is fooled by the Grinch legislature’s Santa Claus costume.
The governor’s speech was ideologically all over the place. I’m beginning to question whether Bentley is the same rock-ribbed Republican who opted not to bring expanded Medicare and Medicaid money into the state under the Affordable Care Act because, well, Obama (who is black).

Update 2: Richard "Dick" Shelby standing up to Obama everyday is proof no good deed goes unpunished #BlackHistoryMonth2016

This is a picture of President Obama touring the damage in Tuscaloosa, AL in the aftermath of the deadly storms that struck Alabama in 2011.

This is a picture of President Obama touring Birmingham, Al in the aftermath of the deadly storms that devastated Alabama in April, 2011.
I hate to say it, but as an African American supporter of President Obama, his actions continue to disappoint me. Don't get me wrong, although it took a tornado to bring him to Alabama, I'm glad he came. But, Tuscaloosa was not the only area hit hard by the storms. Entire neighborhoods were devastated in nearby Birmingham also.
President Obama did not carry Tuscaloosa County, and he will never carry Tuscaloosa County. President Obama did carry Jefferson County, and he can count on carrying Jefferson County again. So why did he pander to the ones who will never vote for him at the expense of those who did, and will, vote for him?
Why indeed?  And who are these Obama Haters Richard Shelby panders to?  An Internet search of pictures of President Obama's visit to T-Town shows a lot of  people who are very happy to see and be seen the President and the First Lady.

Richard Shelby's Wag The Dog political ads are proof there is more than a whiff of hypocrisy in Sweet Home Alabama.

Here is a picture of Sen. Richard "Dick" Shelby(r. Tuscaloosa) standing up to President Obama every day

Pres. Obama and Al. Gov. Robert Bentley tour tornado devastation (Larry Downing/Reuters)

Due to your ageEYE can understand if you have some memory loss, but your aides should know better.  Either they are suffering from amnesia, or they think we are.  Perhaps you've forgotten the massive tornado that ripped through Sweet Home Alabama in April of 2011, when President Obama flew to Birmingham, AL,  motorcades to Tuscaloosa to assure Alabamans that every level of government was fully dedicated to doing everything possible to help the community recover from the devastation,
Even as Republicans have been kicking and screaming about the need to shrink government, even as they support a budget plan that would devastate government's ability to respond to disasters like this, when something like this happens they stand shoulder-to-shoulder with President Obama as government leaders eager to serve the people they represent. They aren't calling him a socialist, they aren't saying he was born in Kenya, they aren't accusing him of trying to kill grandma: they are just trying to do the right thing. It's just too bad it took a horrific storm to bring out that cooperative spirit.
EYE see you and the rest of the white, male, red republicans walking WITH President Obama, and the democrats walking BEHIND.
Sidebar with a sigh
If you look closely at the photograph attached to this diary of a VIP group walking with President Obama, I count nine individuals....Two in the front row, three in the middle row and four in the back, one of whom is barely visible as a pair of grey-trousered legs and the corner of a face. Two of them -- counting the President -- are non-white, one more may be.
The proportion of non-white persons in Alabama's population is about 29%, so 22%, or better 33%, persons of color (2 or 3 out of 9) would not be far out of line with the state population.
According to the same source, the proportion of persons in the population of Alabama who happen to be female is almost 52%. Female persons in the VIP group including President Obama: precisely zero.
You may be suffering from memory loss but we the people will never forget. Link inserted for emphasis mine.
I'm glad the President and First Lady came to Alabama but, why didn't he visit Birmingham too? He went to the place that didn't vote for him, and ignored the place that did. And why wasn't Rep. Terri Sewell, the states top Democrat, the first person to greet President Obama instead of being 4th in line behind anti Socialist Bentley, "I haven't seen his birth certificate" Shelby, "I gave you the middle finger and sent the Azalea Trail Maids to your inauguration parade", Jefferson Beauregard Sessions, and "Birther Spencer Bacchus" all republicans?
You might want to reconsider your Wag the Dog political commercials because that dog won't hunt.
To ‘Wag the Dog’ means to purposely divert attention from what would otherwise be of greater importance, to something else of lesser significance. By doing so, the lesser-significant event is catapulted into the limelight, drowning proper attention to what was originally the more important issue.
The expression comes from the saying that ‘a dog is smarter than its tail’, but if the tail were smarter, then the tail would ‘wag the dog.
In other words, Shelby’s commercial is nothing but an attempt to divert attention from the facts.
