Dear WYPIPO #WeTriedToTellYa is Code for Listen to Black People

And before the "not all white people" whine cranks up if you listened to black people this post is NOT directed at you.

So, how is that peaceful transfer of power thingy working out for you?  Is America Great Again yet?

#WeTiredToTellYa there was something rotten in the cotton in 2016 but did you listen?  Nope.  Because we can't tell ya'll nothin' which means you're incapable of learning or willfully ignorant.

#WeTriedToTellYa you were putting evil in the White House.  We knew what we had to lose.

#WeTriedToTellYa how ignorant Trump and his people are.

Eye would like to thank the #Poorly Educated, the #ElectoralCollege, and #Congress for this #FireAndFury

EYE would like to thank Micheal Wolff for his courage.
Everyone around Donald Trump is too polite to Donald Trump. Democrats, foreign dignitaries, underlings… all of them. And the White House press is perhaps the worst offender. From the media pool playing along with Sarah Sanders during press conferences—conferences where Sanders openly lies and pisses on democracy—to access merchants like Maggie Haberman doling out Trump gossip like so many bread crumbs, too many reporters have been far too deferential to an administration that is brazenly racist, dysfunctional, and corrupt.
#WeTriedToTellYa

Toward the end of the count, Waters – who had campaigned for Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential campaign – pleaded for a senator to join her in objecting.
“Is there one United States senator who will join me in this letter of objection?” Waters said to boos from Republicans. None did.
As Waters began to speak, House Speaker Paul Ryan was seen seated behind Biden laughing at the overture.

Who is laughing now?
A con man doesn't necessarily have to be very smart. All that is required is to be smarter than the targets of his con. Eight months into his presidency Donald Trump has provided proof positive that America is wrought with ignorance and epic stupidity. Look no further than his voter base to unearth evidence of the erosion of our national IQ.

"Tax Marchers Shout Lock Him Up As They Demand The Release Of Trump's Tax Returns #TaxMarch"

You won't see this on TeeVee because it's not a bunch of TeaBaggers screaming about former President Obama's long form birth certificate or former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's emails but on this #TaxDay people are marching all over the country demanding #TheTrumpster release his tax returns.

RedEye's Blog Round Up

Image result for Martin Luther King Jr. our lives begin to end quote

"When you elect a clown, expect a circus."
If there ever was a phenomenon to be simultaneously amusing and depressing, this is it. It boggles the mind to even contemplate that this unhinged psychopath and common pervert is living in the same house that was at one time occupied by Abraham Lincoln and Franklin Roosevelt. The wheels have come off this country. This is going to end very badly, but I think I've already mentioned that. Pay it no mind.
You Think?

#BlackWomenAtWork Week 2.  So former National Security Advisor Dr. Susan Rice is being bashed for doing her J-O-B.
It should be noted that a request to unmask one of these names only reveals that name to the person making the request, it does NOT make the name public.
And to be clear if Rice did make this request it was only because she was doing her job, and NOT because she was necessarily targeting Donald Trump and his associates.
However considering what we have learned since the election I am pretty upset that she WASN'T targeting Trump and his associates.
For her part Rice says she had nothing to do with the names becoming public:
“I leaked nothing to nobody,” she said.
Calling Colin Powell

BOOM!  EYE have to give it to the republicans, they like to blow stuff up.
There is no sugarcoating the fact that Gorsuch is getting a stolen seat. He will be a far-right justice for decades. He’s anti-choice, anti-environmental protection, against regulating money in politics, and hostile to voting rights. But what’s more worrisome to a liberal constitutional scholar like Levinson is what he says Trump and the GOP Senate will do as its followup: seat right-wingers across the federal judiciary. All they need is a simple majority in the Senate to do that—and they have it.
With democrats like this who needs republicans
What good are Democrats if they act just like Republicans? What good are black elected officials if they harm black people?
Nothing to see here move along...

RedEye over and out.

EYE don't want to hear another mumbling word about Trump. #WeTriedToTellYa

Of course, the world is laughing at us.  Of course, Trump's proposed budget is #deplorable.  What did you expect?  Trump told us exactly what he planned to do so why are you acting all shocked and awed he is actually carrying out his campaign promises?  All EYE will say to the hand wringers and the teeth gnashers is you can #KickRocks.

We tried to stop the train from leaving the station but did you help?  Noooo. You said It is over.   So don't expect me to sign another petition, participate in another protest, or show up at a town hall meeting.  To be honest, EYE am going to have to think long and hard about ever voting again since my vote doesn't seem to count and the candidate with the most votes loses.

It's too late to turn back now.  As usual, Democrats are good at talking the talk and poor at walking the walk.   All we can do now is bend over and take our gang banging like Girlie men

Today will live in infamy as #TheDayDemocracyDied

Despite the white male dominated media spin about the peaceful transfer of power and this is how the system works, this is a false narrative. The system failed, and they enabled it.  The bloodstains of our democracy are on their hands.

EYE am posting this video today in honor and memory of our late democracy.  Watch it and weep.

EYE don't want to hear a mumbling word about giving Trump a chance or holding him accountable

I stand with Representative John Lewis.

“ I believe in forgiveness. I believe in trying to work with people. It’s going to be hard. It’s going to be very difficult. I don’t see this president-elect as a legitimate president...

“[W]hen you see something that is not right, not fair, not just, you have a moral obligation to do something. You cannot afford to be quiet or to be silent. We have to continue to work, continue to speak up and speak out”.

What Representative Maxine Waters said all the darn way all the darn day.
"I don't honor him. I don't respect him, and I don't want to be involved with him."
#TheDayDemocracyDied  Again

Thanks for your help and support Senators.

Thanks to the #MSM, the #GOP can't even pretend to be the "Party of Lincoln" anymore #ReapingWhatYouSow

This is who they are

How often did cable news shows cut away from scheduled programming to show us a live Trump rally? Sometimes even interrupting a speech from another candidate? How often did morning news and Sunday shows allow Trump to literally “phone it in” from Trump Tower or his Mar-a-Lago estate instead of taking the trouble to visit a TV studio in person? Morning Joe co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski have practically adopted him. Don’t be surprised if they broadcast live from “Fourth of July with the Trumps.”
Even last summer, when much of the media thought the Trump phenomenon might burn itself out or self-destruct because of his outrageous and incendiary statements, the media were still all Trump, all the time. There have been estimates that Trump received the equivalent of $2 billion in free media attention.
“It really is astonishing how the Republican Party operates in its own reality, where facts don’t matter and the truth is whatever they say it is. Eight years of barely disguised racism and partisan obstructionism justified by vague appeals to whatever “real conservatism” might be has left the Republican voter base furious at an establishment that is flagrantly disregarding the demands of their constituents and failing to fulfill their constitutional obligations. The Republican Party has made their own bed in the muck of ignorance and discrimination, and now they must watch as Donald Trump gleefully frolics in it
They (the GOP) have defined themselves for who/what they really are.  The Party of Racist/Bigoted/Sexism.

Happy now?

The Media enabled #GOPChickens are ducking and dodging #DonaldTrump, but it's too little, much too late

Wilmer Leon
“… like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them…each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.” Senator Barak Obama April 6, 2008
“A certain segment has basically been feeding a kind of xenophobia. There’s a reason why hate crimes against Hispanic people doubled last year. If you have people like Lou Dobbs and Rush Limbaugh ginning things up, it’s not surprising that would happen.” Senator Barak Obama May 22, 2008
You reap...
In its despair and confusion, a large segment of the American populace is prepared to believe anything it’s told, in part because we are a country less and less educated, increasingly unable to tell fact from fiction because we are so unschooled in basic essential knowledge about America and the world.
What you sow..
Donald Trump is standing on a platform of hate that the Republican Party built for him.
Trump’s proposal to bar Muslims from entering this country is hateful, despicable and vile. His statement is a slap in the face to the millions of peace-loving Muslims living here and to those who want to travel and live here.
This sort of racism has been prevalent in Republican politics for decades. Trump is just saying out loud what other Republicans merely suggest.
This is who and what they are.
This is how ALL blacks were transformed into welfare recipients, a whole group of people looking for handouts, although that was a myth. Nope, I take that back it was an outright lie! Images of black women was the old “welfare queen” trick used by Ronald Reagan to drum up negative opinions and attack black women, attaching a negative stigma to them in the process. But more so Reagan used it to stir up negative sentiments towards poor people, which resulted in selfishness and cold heartedness in the charity department. Yup, they want to eliminate help for the poor. It works every time.
Is this who they will always be?
"One of the things we can't do is, we can't let them distract from what we're all about, and what we're trying to accomplish. We're trying to keep the focus on comprehensive, universal health care reform, and they're going all over the place. They are desperate, uh, they don't have leadership, uh, they really don't know what to do, and so, I think we're going to continue to see a lot of crazy things happening, like all of the, uh, outrage that has been demonstrated at these town hall meetings, like the kind of statement that Congresswoman Jenkins made, and let them define themselves, let them reveal who they are. The American public needs to see that."~Representative Maxine Waters (D.CA)

Time will tell the truth
Cooper asked Sanders what evidence he had that the Republican opponents would take Alabama back to Jim Crow days. Sanders said, "Well, there's a certain mean spiritness that's out there, not only in Alabama but it's in America. And that makes this election extremely important."

They are who/what we thought they are

"One of the things we can't do is, we can't let them distract from what we're all about, and what we're trying to accomplish. The American public needs to see that."~Congresswoman Maxine Waters D. California
"I'm sick of republican apologies where they pretend to be the victim."
A real and sincere apology focuses on the real victims of an event by recognizing what they've suffered, not on delivering a self-serving diatribe on how they, themselves, have been affected.
That is all.  For now.

"Let them define themselves, let them reveal who they are" Rep. Maxine Waters (D CA)

No doubt Chief Justice Roberts is hoping for a "better future", because he didn't like this past election very much. He, and others like him, are hoping that the new schemes that republican state houses are coming up with to make it harder and harder for poor people and people of color to vote, will make it easier for them to win elections and impose their extreme will on the rest of us.

Rep Waters:     "One of the things we can't do is, we can't let them distract from what we're all about, and what we're trying to accomplish. The American public needs to see that."

I'd argue this is the opposite of restraint; it's activism. The justices decided to substitute their judgment for the people's and their elected lawmakers, because they felt like it.

We should probably  riot.  NOT!  This would be the perfect excuse for them to use all those guns they've been stocking every since President Obama was elected.

What daily life is like in the place that spawned Shelby County v Holder
Well, Shelby County is a prosperous, pretty place that features lots of gorgeous trees, mountains, and bodies of water--I can throw a rock from my backyard and almost hit the natural splendor of Oak Mountain State Park. The county, especially in the northern section closest to Birmingham, features numerous fine places to shop and dine, with some of the most attractive neighborhoods you will find anywhere.

But what about those pesky justice issues? In that regard, Shelby County is a cesspool. The county seat is in a little hellhole called Columbiana, and when you take one step into the city limits, it's as if you've entered a time warp and gone back to . . . oh, about 1912.

Ru$h Roundup

The fallout behind Ru$h Limbaugh's nasty, mean spirited,  personal attack against Sandra Fluke continues, despite his half a$$, post advertiser bailout apology.
"My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices."
Isn't it funny how the right wing, Lords of Loud, always resort to the I was just kidding, I am an entertainer line when they resort to personal attacks, name calling and insults to attack the messenger because they can't attack the message?  Pun intended.

Speaking of attacking the messenger, local radio boy and Ru$h Wanna Be, gets the award for the headline of the week:  Kathy Peterson tried to punish WVNN for nailing her.  Be sure and check out the sidebar for a list of WVNN's  advertisers and sponsors. Ru$h to the exits. Pun intended.

Why Ru$h thought he could get away with calling a young, white woman a slut and a prostitute is beyond me.  Now if he had called Shirley Sherrod, Sonia Sotomayor and President Obama racist, criticized Michelle Obama's weight,  or, mocked Malia Obama  that would have been all right.  Snark intended.

Real liberal quotes, by real liberals, for real liberals

"Well, there's a certain mean spiritless that's out there, not only in Alabama but it's in America. And that makes this election extremely important."~Alabama State Senator Hank Sanders

Scott Beason is the south end of a northbound mule
He meant it as a slur on African-Americans. He wasn't just "being wrong." He is an Alabama pol in the Sessions/Shelby mold, only with less intelligence. ~LynnK

It bothers me that those statements are allowed to stand as if there is no dispute that Black people are ignorant and illiterate and that our vote can be purchased with free food and a trip to the casino. ~CaliSister

The day we get a million signatures on a petition not just to save an innocent man's life, but to roll back the prison state ---- that will be the day we know we have a movement that can free the next wave of Troy Davises, the day we are close to welcoming them back to help heal and rebuild their own lives, our broken families and our devastated communities. ~Bruce Dixon

African Americans are very proud that there is an African American man who is the most powerful man in the world, and they hold on to that with everything they possibly can,But it’s starting to slip because of the pain of the African American community.” ~Representative Maxine Waters

Every time the black community attempts to verbalize their experiences and air grievances, they're told they're just "whining." Or being "hyper-sensitize." Or "ungrateful." What some of these folks want is for blacks to finally shut the f#*k up about themselves and their troubles, so whites will no longer have to feel uncomfortable about interacting with blacks or feel guilty about NOT interacting with blacks, and so they won't have to hear or see stories of how their parents, grandparents and great-great grandparents treated blacks, or have to deal with the whole "sins of the father" issue. And yes, these are white liberals thinking these things, but they'll never let on to it, even outside of polite company.~Mack Lyons

I'll never understand that the party that pretends to care so much for the fetus, cares so little for it once its born. ~ms_teacher

Voters can't be shamed or intimidated into supporting this president or any other. They can only be persuaded.~Gene Lyons

I end tonight where it all began for me: I still believe in a place called Hope.~President Bill Clinton

"I dare to imagine a country where every child I hold in my hands, are all God's children, regardless of the color of their skin, regardless of whether they're boy or girl, regardless of religion, regardless of rich or poor, that every child I hold in my hands, will have the same chance to reach her full potential or his full potential. That is the goodness of our country. That is the essence of the American dream." ~Senator Paul Wellstone

This is a what some "Professional Lefty Retards " tried to tell some of y'all post

Hello this is Hank Sanders, Alabama state Senator, and I’m still mad as hell. I say hell no! I ain’t going back to the cotton fields of Jim Crow days. I’m going forward with Ron Sparks, Jim Folsom and others who would do right by all of us. I hope you are mad as hell and will not go back, and you have the power to choose. I will stand until hell freezes over for Ron Sparks for Governor and Jim Folsom for Lt. Governor on November the 2nd.

Paid for by Alabama New South.

“I heard if the Republicans win the election, their first act of business was going to be sending this monkey back to his cage …” These words were posted on a web site (ala.com) in response to a robo ad I sent. There is a mean spirit on the loose.

Rangel: It's disgraceful that he has to make any explanation for anything. The intrusion of the media and Republicans into the sacred relationship that worshipers have with their spiritual leaders I think is going to come back to haunt us. To think that we have to go into the lives and the beliefs of Rabbis and Priests and ministers and Imams is absolutely ridiculous. We've got a war on. We've got an economy that's splintered. I think the media should be more responsible and start dealing with those issues. I don't think many people care what reverend Wright thinks and I don't see why any candidate should have to explain what ..

Rep Waters: "One of the things we can't do is, we can't let them distract from what we're all about, and what we're trying to accomplish. The American public needs to see that."

Howard Dean said a public health insurance option is more important than bipartisanship, and that Democrats should pass health-care legislation that includes the option with 51 votes if necessary.

Dean added that Democrats should have "no intention" of working with Republicans if it's not the strongest possible legislation that could be passed with a simple majority.

Bernie Sanders went to the floor of the Senate last December to deliver the most important congressional address of 2010, a nine-hour long, filibuster-style condemnation of economic policies that favored the rich while burdening working Americans. The independent senator from Vermont electrified the nation with a call for economic justice that challenged Obama administration compromises with Republicans on issues of tax policy and declared: "There is a war going on in this country, and I am not referring to the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan. I am talking about a war being waged by some of the wealthiest and most powerful people in this country against the working families of the United States of America, against the disappearing and shrinking middle class of our country."

Sorry but I'm going to have to throw a wet blanket on this "bipartisan" love fest.
Has anyone noticed but me that republicans are bipartisan when it's benefits them? Bipartisanship to republicans means you join us, we don't join you.

Mo, Dale, Teabaggers, how about joining with Democrats/liberals fighting for health care reform, or the Jobs bill, or bringing our troops home from Iraq? Bipartisanship is two way, not one way.

Words of caution and advice to my progressive/democratic friends. Make sure you identify yourselves as such so that you won't be lumped in with the Teabaggers. They are NOT your friend(s). Don't let yourself be used to enable the right wing/conservative agenda.

The president said the Republican Party was focused on things like tax cuts for the rich and cuts to education funding rather than helping middle class Americans and young people.

"If we don't have strong leaders in Congress who are supportive of this agenda, who are supportive of moving the country forward," the president said. "If instead we've got folks who want to move backwards to the same failed policies that got us into this mess in the first place, then it's going to be very difficult for me to keep making progress and do what folks want to see me do over the next two years."

RedEye's Alabama Congress Critter Alert!

What's that you say? Alabama Congress Critter Jo Bonner (r. bigot) has a tendency to exploit the ethics committee for partisan gain? I'm shocked! Shocked I tell you. NOT.

Ethics watchdogs are calling on Rep. Jo Bonner (R-AL) to step down as chairman of the House Ethics Committee -- at least temporarily -- for his role in the ongoing turmoil over Rep. Maxine Waters' (D-CA) case.

What was Bonner's role in the ongoing turmoil over Rep. Maxine Waters you ask?

Neither the House Ethics Committee nor Speaker John Boehner's (R-OH) office returned a request for comment about allegations that Bonner engaged in improper communication with attorneys on the panel last year while he was still its ranking member.

An unprecedented leak of internal ethics documents from last fall provide new details about Bonner's role in the alleged bungling of the ethics committee's case against Waters. The scores of Ethics Committee e-mails and memos, reported by Politico Monday with links to the documents, paint a picture of a committee consumed by partisan dysfunction and accusations of professional misconduct surrounding Waters' case

Let's get ready to rumble!

Unlike in a normal court of law, Waters may have no formal way to file a complaint against the Ethics Committee. But at the very least, Waters could take her fight to the floor of the House, calling on Bonner to step down from the position and repeatedly raise the allegations of mistreatment and unprofessional conduct. The spectacle undoubtedly would attract the attention of the media and many of her peers already wary of the ethics committee's policing power.

Bonner's role in the Rangel lynching

The attorneys also improperly communicated with Texas Rep. Mike McCaul, the top Republican on the special panel overseeing the trial of Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY), who later the House censured for a separate string of charges, according to Chisam's memo. There are strict Ethics Committee rules preventing contact between the staff attorneys assigned to prosecute a case and the lawmakers who serve as the jury weighing the evidence.

Let this be a lesson for republicans and conservadems, ethics are for everybody.

Thanks to the republicans and their "progressive" enablers, there is a narrative that that all Democrats, especially black elected democrats, are corrupt and unethical. The jails are full and getting fuller of Democratic elected officials convicted after widely publicized media investigations. It has the "appearance" of political prosecutions.
For the record I'm not defending people who misuse public funds or who are trying to enrich themselves or their families. I'm defending our justice system and the rule of law.

The justice system that says defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, not the court of public opinion. The justice system that says justice is blind not partisan and political. The justice system that says we have the right to fair trial. The justice system that says the jury pool should not be tainted by pre trial publicity. The justice system on which this country was founded.

So much hypocrisy. So little time. But none dare call it racism.

RedEye Alabama Congress Critter Alert over and out. For now.

File this under "Let them reveal who they are"

"One of the things we can't do is, we can't let them distract from what we're all about, and what we're trying to accomplish. They are Hypocrites

Alabama Republicans are still not concerned about your job, or creating a job for your neighbor who's been out of work for 7 months, or passing job-creating legislation in general to help 200,000 unemployed Alabamians ... but they are suddenly all in a lather about the job of Republican Rep. Alan Boothe's* (R) daughter. Here's why: AEA laid her off.

More accurately, AEA offered her a job in a different location and she refused it. As a result, Boothe and his fellow AEA-bashers in the Legislature are alleging that her "firing" is some kind of political payback.

Did I say they were Hypocrites?

Stupidly, the union is pushing for pay increases…

Rex Cheatham, Uniserv director for the Alabama Education Association’s Huntsville chapter, said he was disappointed that Richardson failed to live up to his promise.

‘I am very disappointed that the employees did not receive the new salary schedule as Dr. Richardson had promised the board and employees,’ Cheatham said.

‘We hope he will bring that schedule to the June meeting as again promised.’

This is why people hate unions… this right here. We have a ECONOMICAL disaster in Huntsville Schools and the union wants raises,

They promote media driven racial stereotypes in an attempt to justify their "beliefs".

They are Polluters

San Francisco's Center on Race, Poverty and the Environment (CRPE) announced today that it received the judge's writ in its lawsuit against the California Air Resources Board (CARB). The writ gives the green light to most of the policies advanced under AB32, California's Global Warming Solutions Act, but puts a permanent hold on cap and trade.

They are Cowards.

Democrats didn’t hold back their disgust at a voter bill — or as some call it, a voter suppression bill — signed by Rick Scott on Thursday.
Florida Democratic Party Chairman Smith released this statement:
“Today is a tragic day for the Sunshine State, with Governor Rick Scott signing into law a bill that disenfranchises voters, makes it harder for Floridians to vote and limits access to the polls.
“Since Rick Scott’s own Republican Secretary of State, Kurt Browning, has repeatedly debunked the claims made by Republicans regarding any issues with Florida’s current elections law, Floridians should see that this bill is simply an attack on the voting rights of all Floridians.
“We are confident that this bill, which is nothing more than a power-grab by Republicans, will be overturned by the courts and rejected by the U.S. Justice Department.”

They are Greedy.
MONTGOMERY - Three Republican state senators, including two from Madison County, said today they routinely sleep in their Statehouse offices while the Legislature is in session.
Ben Brooks of Mobile, Bill Holtzclaw of Madison and Paul Sanford of Huntsville said they stay in their seventh floor offices at the Statehouse as a convenience and to save on hotel bills.

I guess They learned greed by example

Who has been sleeping in your taxpayer funded federal building to avoid paying DC rent (and taxes)?

Utah Republican Congressman Jason Chaffetz, that’s who!

Instead of renting out an apartment in DC, Jason Chaffetz lives on the couch in his office on The Hill.

Say WHAT?
They use washrooms and a shower on the same floor.
The practice was sharply criticized today by Mark Kennedy, chairman of the Alabama Democratic Party, who said it was unseemly for lawmakers "to be camped out in the Statehouse."
"Members of the legislature have been spotted in the halls in jogging pants all while still accepting the state-paid per diem provided to them for a hotel room or a local apartment," he said. "I just hope they contacted their accountants about their new public housing arrangements before they filed their taxes."

Did I say they were Greedy?

Legislators who live in or near Montgomery can go home for the evening and pocket the per diem.
Brooks, an attorney, said he stays at the Statehouse because it's convenient and saves him money. He said did not take the 62 percent pay raise in 2007 or any of the cost of living raises since. Holtzclaw and Sanford also declined the raise.
"I have to be cognizant being a father with kids in college and expenses," Brooks said. "I find I'm able to start work real early in the morning and work later at night. It really does help me with being more productive."

They are done, stick a fork in them.

Republicans are going to have plenty of questions about their plan to turn Medicare into a voucher program tomorrow morning after Democrats romped to an improbable victory in a special election focused almost entirely on the issue.

They have revealed themselves for who they are.

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report) – One day after Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA) stirred controversy by withholding funds for tornado relief, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) took the extraordinary step of declaring Rep. Cantor a disaster area.

Within hours of the declaration, FEMA officials were dispatched to assess the damage to Mr. Cantor’s status as a human being capable of empathy.

“I’ve seen a lot of hurricanes and tornados, but this is something new,” said FEMA spokesman Tracy Klugian. “Rep. Cantor appears to have been caught up in a moral vacuum.”

While concerned FEMA officials looked on, the morally ravaged House Majority Leader took to the floor of the House to make the case for denying funds to repair himself.

Alabama Congress Critter Elect Watch

Well it's a good thing Orange Cry Baby Bohner doesn't hold a gudge, AL05 Congress Critter elect Mo Brooks was appointed to the House Armed Services, Science and Technolgy Committes, but will he be able to bring home the bacon in light of his no pork (earmarks) pledge? Oh wait, he unsigned the no earmarks pledge after he signed the no earmarks pledge. I wonder if Mo is going to refuse to accept his Obma Care while he's trying to repeal Obama care for the rest of us?

Psst Mo! Tell President Obama, Senator Harry Reid and Representative Nancy Pelosi I said please don't hold it against the residents of the 5th district because you are the rep. We need our big government spending and contracts here in the Tennessee Valley.

From the nobody listens to me file
Has anyone noticed but me that republicans are bipartisan when it's benefits them? Bipartisianship to republifcans means you join us, we don't join you.

Meanwhile, AL07 Congress Critter Elect Terri Sewell is Just about Ready to move into her prime office space on The Hill.
I haven’t decided the locations of all the district offices,” she said. “We will keep the ones at the courthouse in Selma and in Livingston at the University of West Alabama, but in Birmingham, I haven’t decided on a location.”’

She fared well in the lottery among freshmen members of Congress for the vacated offices at the Capitol. “I got a good lottery number,” Sewell said, “No. 5 out of 85. It’s a great location, 1133 Longworth — on the first floor and the first office. That’s great accessibility.”

She also elected the Regional Whip
The day before, Sewell had been in Washington at a regional meeting of Democrats, where she was elected the regional whip for Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Florida, the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

Being the whip for the region means she’ll check on votes and ensure the Democratic delegates from this particular region in the United States have the facts about the policy, legislation or track they are taking as a group, she said.

Wow, that ought to really help the residents of the 7th district with jobs and economic development.

Psst Terri! What Congresswoman Maxine Waters said;
“This should help her be an effective representative, and I expect her to work hard on behalf of the constituents who have shown much confidence in her,” Waters said. “I look forward to working with her within the House of Representatives as a whole and in the Congressional Black Caucus on issues of importance to all Americans, where they live in Alabama or California: job creation and economic development, education and training, quality health care and more.”

Redeye Watch over and out...for now.
