Now THIS right here is what a riot looks like....#FergusonOctober

And not one tank, tear gas, assault rifle, or police in riot gear in sight.

I wonder why?

They should arrest them all!!! The only big difference is: 1.the amount of damage,2. no one shot at or threw home made bombs at cops, 3.It will not last months.

Were there any looted and torched convenience stores on the West Virginia campus or in Morgantown? If no, then a couple of cars destroyed don't make it more property damage than in Ferguson.

Not sure if they were used last Saturday, but riot squads and tear gas has been used on West Virginia students. From 2012/West Virginia's College of Media website:
" In the hours after West Virginia University’s football team beat the University of Texas Oct. 6, more than 1,000 students filled the streets of Morgantown, toppling a light pole and setting fires to the pole and nearby cars. Approximately 40 fires blazed that night and when the firefighters and police arrived to quell them, students threw rocks and beer bottles at them. Police eventually had to use riot gear and pepper-spray to break up the mob."

Since the 2012 riot, WVU has enacted a zero tolerance policy on vandalism or property damage, attacking first responders, or underage drinking so it will be interesting to see what happens after with this especially with all the pictures that are out there already. WVU will probably be looking at many students social media sites to figure out who was involved.

There is no evidence, not to be confused with media reports, that anyone threw homemade bombs at police in #Ferguson. The only bombs I saw thrown were smoke bombs, and the only ones I saw throwing them were police. And people were hurt as a result of the #pumpkinfest riot. The difference is black and white.

Blacks protesting the shooting of an unarmed black teen,(YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE ARMED TO BE DANGEROUS)BAD when you shoot at police, throw home made bombs at police, steal shoes, etc

I don't think anybody is saying college students rioting is good. Most people think it is embarrassing and childish behavior. The Presidents of West Virginia and Keene State have came out and said that students will face justice if they were involved in the riots.

At Keene State, we have a car overturned, bottles thrown, and people refusing to disperse when the police order them to.

At West Virginia, we have couches and dumpsters set on fire and people refusing to disperse when the police order them to.

In Ferguson, we have stores broken into, at least one of them looted and burned, bottles thrown, and people refusing to disperse when the police order them to.

BTW: Police in riot gear, rubber bullets and tear gas was used against the students rioting, both at West Virginia and the Pumpkin Fest in New Hampshire.

In #Ferguson people were "rioting" against injustice. In West Virginia and New Hampshire you had rioting about football and pumpkins. In #Ferguson peaceful protestors were treated like looters and rioters and in West Virginia and New Hampshire rioters were treated like peaceful protestors.

????

So looters and rioters and peaceful protestors are treated the same?

How the police were geared to deal with the rioters in New Hampshire:

Descriptions of New Hampshire:
"Police responded quickly and with force, bringing canine units, SWAT gear, and using tear gas, tasers, and pepper spray against the students, according to witnesses and reports on social media."
“I watched cops roll in, I watched the fire department roll in, I watched state troopers roll in with their batons out, ready to take on the crowd,” said Conlon. “It was crazy.”

Numerous arrests were made in both New Hampshire and West Virginia. Presidents of both West Virginia and Keene State have said that the schools and the local police are reviewing media and social media posts and students will be penalized (by the schools) including possible expulsion. There could be additional punishments from local law enforcement.

How are the students in New Hampshire and West Virginia being treated any more gentile than protestors in Ferguson?

I read that. Not sure where he picked the terms out of but have seen the rioters on the right described using the terms on the left.

That is just an example of somebody "cheery-picking" in order to make their point.

It doesn't prove that the rioters in New Hampshire and West Virginia were dealt any differently then the protestors in Ferguson.

In fact, if you look at the timeline of what happened in all three locations, the rioters in New Hampshire and West Virginia were dealt with far more harshly than the protestors in Ferguson. What police presence was there in Ferguson on that first Sunday? Were riot police on site when the convenience store was being looted? Was tear gas used that Sunday night when the store was looted?

We didn't see the police use those tactics until after that first night. But it was used at a much faster pace in the New Hampshire and West Virginia riots. The only things we have seen used in Ferguson that were not used in New Hampshire and West Virginia were the military vehicles and officers carrying assault rifles but we didn't see that in Ferguson immediately either. If the riots carried over to Sunday or today and we didn't see those, then I would be on board with you.
