This is the Media we have instead of the Media we wish we had~edit

I am not a professional journalist.

I don't get paid to report the news, or for my opinions.

I don't have access to people in power.

I do know the difference between reporting and editorializing .

The front page is reserved for what is known as straight reporting, also known as the 5 W's-Who, What, When, Where, and Why.

The editorial page is reserved for the opinions of the editorial board and columnists.

To insert opinion in the guise of an objective report is the definition of editorializing.

If there were any doubt The Huntsville Times tells the public what they want us to know, instead of what we need to know in order to make informed decisions about the public school system, look no further than Sunday's front page, banner headline 'COMMAND AND CONTROL' Wardynski's first year, complete with a 5 column, half page color picture of the Commandant, I mean superintendent, and two side by side articles anointing him King.  All they couldn't squeeze on the front page continued on the top half of page A6, with a  3 column black and white photo of Wardynski, and the full page on A8, complete with a color picture of the Super surrounded by students of color at Lee High School.  Snark

Let The Huntsville Times along with the Mayor, chosen board members and even the Huntsville Representative of the Alabama Education Association spin it, Wardynski just can't understand why the system is still under a desegregation order, is retoring fiscal responsibility the district, he listens to recommendations of the Huntsville Education Association, and the children is learning now that the dreadful Dr. Anne Roy Moore is no longer in charge.  Snark.

If you want know know what's really going on in the school system,  log on to the internet and click on Geek  Pavaler, Merts Center Monitor, Havealittletalk, RedEye's Front Page, or even Left in Alabama.  The Huntsville Times caters to the segment who want to operate and  maintain  segregated public schools because black children lower the test scores, because they are well....black, which in turn lower property values, and God knows that wouldn't be fair Snark.

"Where justice is denied, where poverty is enforced, where ignorance prevails, and where any one class is made to feel that society is an organized conspiracy to oppress, rob and degrade them, neither persons nor property will be safe"~Fredrick Douglas
Casey you have to break the mold and prove you're not afraid of minorities, democrats, liberals, aclu types and the entire entitlement crowd! Do that, and you'll be doing the job you were hired to do! Oh yeah, not to mention striking down all racial transfers. And that includes allowing not allowing whites to racially transfer either. If you don't like where your child goes to school, move to where they can be zoned into a school of your preference, that's what I had to do!~allin13times
And much of the public buys into the message thatour schools are finally being run by people who do things the right way, who follow the rules, who don't just put their friends, regardless of their inexperience or incompetence into highly paid positions of power.~Geek Pavaler
It's too late, the contracts been signed, and nothing I say is going to change anything.~havealittletalk
The public gives us their two most precious resources; their children and their taxdollars.  We must protect both to the best of our ability.~Casey Wardynski

Wisconsin is what Democracy looks like!

I
t also highlights the disconnect between the mainstream media (part of the 1%), and the American people (the 99%).  Tune in to mainstream media and all you will hear is the Talking TeeVee Pundit Heads (1%) talking about how Wisconsin is a divided state, polls show a tight race, Scott Walker is out spending the democrats, turnout is the key, should President Obama campaign in Wisconsin, what are the implications for November, blah, blah, blab, blab.

Of course it's easier for them to hypothesize will Scott Walker get a pink slip, orange jumpsuit, or a second chance, than talk about how and why there is a recall in Wisconsin.  It's called holding elected officials accountable for when they lie to the voters to get elected.

If you really want to know what's going on in Wisconsin go to the Professional Left  Blogosphere for the comprehensive review, honest analysis,  unbiased information,  voters need to make informed decisions.

One thing is true, if democrats stay their Donkey's at home, republicans will win.  If republicans win, the American people lose.

ReCall  Scott Walker-Wisconsin can't wait.

What's the matter with the DOJ you ask?  It's controlled by Bush holdovers who prosecute people not crimes and a republican controlled Supreme Court who enables them.

I wonder if the Cats and Critters at Left in Alabama can hear Alabama State Senator Hank Sanders now?

RedEye's Sunday Blog Stroll

TEApublicans hate us for our freedom.  The question is why?  Despite the fact the Department of Justice ordered the great state of Florida to halt it's voter roll purge, the great state of Florida is Standing it's Ground.

TEApublicans care more about keeping poor women (not to be confused with rich women) from obtaining a safe, legal, abortion than they care about jobs, poverty, or debt thanks to the UNfair and Unbalanced media, who enable them to carry out WAR on everything for ratings.

Yes Sundog, I am out here, but as you well know, I can't comment at Left in Alabama because I was right (your words) about Artur Davis.  For the record I never dogged (your words)  Artur Davis or his supporters, personally, It was always about his politics.  Although I've been banned for life from participating in the discussion Left in Alabama, you are always welcome at RedEye's Front Page.

RedEye's Week in Review

What a week this has been full of good, bad, and the downright ugly.

First the good.

Former Alabama Congress Critter Artur Davis(the latest delusional puppet of republican racial propaganda) is taking his jigging skills to the republican party like a good House Negro.  I pity the fools at Left in Alabama who fell for the Okay Doke. Although their track record for endorsements appear to based on the image the candidate projects, rather than the content of their character, it tends to makes me suspect of any democratic candidate(s) they endorse.

 Sorry.

It's always a good thing when a jury tells the Department of InJustice to go Dick Cheney themselves.  North Carolina has the kind of juries I wish we had instead of the juries we have.  I thought President Obama said he was going end Scooter Libby Justice?  I guess that's hard to do when the TeaPulblicans are blocking his Judicial Nominations.  Strike that, they are blocking the ones they don't agree with.

I'm just saying...

Now for the bad, Mitt Romney, President Obama and Casey WARdynski vie for who can hurt public education the worst.  Of course I am a dumb, ignorant, racist, n-word who was kicked of of Left in Alabama because I was incapable of logic based argument, just because I  dared point out segregated public schools are illegal.  It's too bad Romney, Obama and WARdynski don't realize there is no right way to do the wrong thing.

Finally the U-G-L-Y, how do republicans plan to steal the 2012 elections?  The same way they did in 2000?

Remember?
