I remember how HOPEFUL we were for CHANGE we could BELIEVE in. Little did we know the republican party, led by Rush Limbaugh wanted the country to fail. Little did we know the republican party, enabled by the media wouldn't allow President Obama the chance to govern.

I firmly HOPE that the Republicans reap what they've sown. American voters rule and can smack down the Republicans' "party before country" attitude.

Give President Obama a congress to work with. Send the tea party packing!

I do, too. :) And tonight, we can watch the first chapter of "Clinton" on PBS' American Experience to celebrate Presidents' Day.

I saw him at one of those "Breakfast on the Farm" days. The event was over and I was dawdling along to let the crowd with cars to clear out a bit. Suddenly, a white car appeared before me, and in the rear seat was Big Dog. I had heard rumors, and I was trying to size him up. We just looked at each other; neither of us moved.

Later, another time, I was about 3 people deep in front of his car, surrounded by Secret Service agents. I held up my copy of his book, "People First" in one hand and a pen in the other.

He understood my request, and reached into the crowd to grab the book, signed, then tossed it on the car as he continued moving on in the crowd, shaking hands.

Later, I asked a Secret Service agent to give me back my book. He did. :)
