Mississippi Burning " It looks like the rattlesnakes are starting to commit suicide"

McDaniel's supporters are now talking lawsuit, so anything that keeps this thing alive is pretty darn awesome.

One of my most memorable lines from the movie Mississippi Burning is when G-Man Rupert Anderson (Gene Hackman) says to G-Man Alan Ward  (Willem Dafor) "Looks like the rattlesnakes are starting to commit suicide" after they trick the weakest link into thinking the other is going kill him if he doesn't tell the truth in their investigation of the death of a young black man in 1964 Mississippi.

So, Chris McDonald (TeaPublican, MS) is mad because them there black voters, I mean crossover voters, cost him the election.  Boo Hoo

The actual conservatives are the outsiders with the GOP establishment doing all it could to preserve its power at the expense of its principles...
Mississippi is a crystalizing election in that sense. Cochran is, for all intents and purposes, a marionette. His strings are pulled by staffers and lobbyists. They drop him onto the stage of the Senate and pull up a string to raise his hand. These puppeteers are so invested in keeping their gravy train going that they will, while claiming to be Republicans, flood a Republican primary with black people Obama voters to ensure their gravy train continues.

Senator Thad Cochran survives, thanks to Democrats  but should democrats be happy about that?

Cochran's win helps quell talk of a newly resurgent tea party and returns us to a state of affairs in which political insiders can prattle on again about how nice and reasonable and cuddly the GOP is and how Democrats could get things done via compromise with the GOP if they'd only lead harder. Ron Fournier must be in heaven.

If  Mississippi democrats get out and vote in the general election like they did in the primary, democrats will win, despite what the Polling Pollsters and the Talking TeeVee Pundit Heads say, because It looks like the rattlesnakes are on suicide watch.

If you can't run on your record, resort to race baiting and mud slinging ~Sigh

So, what do you do three days before the primary election to unseat your opponent and rile up your base when you don't have a record of accomplishments or some positive ideas to run on?  Use your own version of Willie Horton?  Accuse of your opponent of anything you think will stick?  And it's always good to bring in black people for color, I mean scapegoats, remember Sister Soljah and the so called Welfare Queens?

Bob Harrison and Richard Showers attacked our schools?

Really?

David Blair stood up to them?

Really?

You mean the David Blair that needs a lesson in transparency and betraying the public trust?

You mean the David Blair that is leading the fight to silence the community and not give them a voice in the schools new zoning proposal pending before the court?

You mean the David Blair that is using school children as political pawns in his quest to enhance his political future?  

That David Blair?

Why won't Romney release his tax returns, as long as he doesn't aren't we going to wonder what he's hiding?

WTF moved my polling place, when, and why????!!!!!

I showed up at what I thought was my polling place early this morning to find out my name wasn't on the roll.  Say what?  Something told me to bring the voter registration card I received in the mail a couple of weeks ago just in case there was some mess.  Upon checking the card, I discovered my polling place was changed from one church, to another church.  I guess that's why I received a new voter registration card in the mail a couple of weeks ago. Snark.  

Isn't it strange that after Bush v Gore there wasn't a push to pass reform the election system, but after the election of President Barack Obama republicans rush  pass preemptive voter fraud laws to block the vote?

I sure do miss the good old day's when we had fair and free elections in America too.

CD-5 Crossing Over Dems being Punk'd again?

U.S. Representative Mo Brooks and Madison County Commissioner Dale Strong

Let's recap.

Former Democrat, turned republican, Alabama Congress Critter Parker "Flipper" Griffin will square off against present republican Congress Critter Mo "anything short of shooting them" Brooks, in the REPUBLICAN primary on Tuesday.

Enter the democratic, circular, firing squad who helped Mo Brooks defeat Parker Griffin in the first place IMHO.

Democrats try to right a wrong (pun intended), asking why should they vote in the democratic primary, with some saying they will cross over and vote for the lessor of the two evils.  And they say black democrats engage in wholesale voter fraud?

Punk me once.........can't punk me again.

President Obama, as well as some fine democratic delegates to the Democratic National Convention, are on the democratic ballot.  Support President Obama now by casting your vote for them.  We don't have a dog in the gop dog fight.

In many respects, these GOP contests are not between light and darkness, but between darker shades of pitch. We should be as careful of rooting for a “moderate” in these races, as we would be of rooting for a “less extreme” mullah in an Iranian “election.” 

Democrats will never achieve the CHANGE we want if democrats keep doing the same thing over and over again,  HOPING for a different result.
