1st Sgt Lynn Vanzandt poses with his class on the steps of the Annie Mertz Center |
Grissom High School JROTC cadets, instructors and parents showed up in full force to defend their instructor against charges of bullying two female cadet members. Those who couldn't fit inside the meeting room watched on monitors in the hallway (picture below).
School Board member David Blair said in order for Bullying to take place there must be a pattern of behavior, not an "isolated" incident, and he's right. Every time ordinary citizens have a complaint, a well organized, pre planned, media enabled, defense is rolled out, complete with talking points, metal detectors, or worse.
You know the pattern, I mean, drill;
Attend the school board meeting to address the board about a concern/complaint
Sit silently through unlimited presentations, resolutions, agenda items, etc.
The Superintendent and board goes into Executive Session to discuss agenda items
Citizens comments~ 4 minutes and not a second more, unless David Blair likes what you are saying
The board is not required to answer questions or address concerns in public, the Superintendent threatens to quit rather than answer questions.
You leave feeling like you've been beaten wondering why you wasted your time and gas in the first place.
The little guys and gals don't stand a chance against the WARdynski machine.

Yes. Seven testimonials for Vanzandt, 7 repetitive preachings to the choir, 7 assertions that Vanzandt did no wrong, can do no wrong and never will do wrong by people who did not witness the event. I'd like to see 7 people come up at the next BOE meeting and tell the Col & minions how nauseating and despicable the Pinnacle situation is, and see if Blair stops the barrage for repetitiveness. At least the one parent who was trying to speak up for kids dug in her heels when she was interrupted and said, the public doesn't interrupt you all when you are talking, and they need to not interrupt the citizens who speak. It's not like the Col & wastes-of-space were interrupting to answer a question, of course, but to spread more misinformation. Yes. Just another night at Merts.
Citizens comments should be first on the agenda not last. Citizens should be allowed to ask questions.
The board should be required to answer questions in writing.
I Facebook way tooo much because I was looking for a like box for that Redeyes.
That would be fantastic, but of course, it's 'not necessary'.
I mean, we're just working on Facebook rumors according to Wardynski.
Thanks for reading and commenting inuyashagirl521! And I agree with you 100% Wardynski and the Board have forgotten they work for us and not the other way around.
