EYE would like to thank Donald Trump for defining the republican party for who/what they really are

All The Presidents Men

Hey, Republicans!  This is your guy.
Republicans who stood by Trump through the Muslim ban and “grab ‘em by the pussy” and a million flirtations with white supremacists got us here. They got us to the KKK and neo-Nazis joining together and marching on Charlottesville confident that they had an ally in the White House. They got us to the president of the United States of America both-sidesing white supremacist violence and complaining that anti-racist counter-protesters failed to get a permit.

Paul Ryan, you own this. So does every Republican in the House.
Mitch McConnell, you own this. So does every Republican in the Senate.
Statements about how disappointed you are won’t cut it. Statements about how inappropriate it was won’t cut it. You own Trump until you put real distance between yourselves and him, not just mushy words.
There can be no more pretenses.
And here in the heart of Trump Country – where people cheer the reality TV star’s hateful rhetoric – we place less emphasis on competency and far more emphasis on whether or not the candidate will back our God, our race and our beliefs – no matter how stupid and misguided they might be.
Never mind that this way of thinking has left us last in all things good and first in all things bad, as our former, resigned-in-disgrace governor once said.
We just keep whipping that dead horse.
He is exactly who we thought he was

Own it.

Let us pray for Heather Heyer.

Let the #GOP define themselves #TrickleDownRacism

Let them reveal who/what they really are.

"The Republican Speaker of the House Paul Ryan said, "he knows Donald Trump is a textbook racist," but he is better than a Democrat!!" ~D.L. Hugley

If you vote for Trump this is who/what you really are too.

That is all.  For now.

The RAPEpublican Agenda

Is it just me, or are republicans obsessed with vaginal probes?  It's all rape all the time with these guys and some gals.  First they  re defined rape, then comes legitimate rape, now we have rape in the name of the Lord.   Thank God we have a bunch of pro life, Viagra ingesting white men around to explain what sexism and misogyny IS.

RedEye Roll

OK here's the deal,  in order to appeal to their Tea Party base republicans have to oppose abortion  under any circumstances.  Therefore,  they have to make it appear women are getting raped to justify having an abortion.

Ain't that a dip?

According to the Talking TeeVee Pundit Heads and the Polling Pollsters, President Obama and Mitt Romney are neck in neck, with Romney in the lead in some cases.  My questions are why, and how, in the world could this race even be close?  What self respecting woman, or man for that matter, in their right (pun intended) mind, would choose Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan over President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden?

How stupid will we (women) be when we wake up one day in a Romney Presidency and realize ALL our rights are gone?

I mean, really?

Undecided My Donkey

President Obama and Mitt Romney answer questions from undecided voters at the second presidential debate, at Hofstra University on Long Island, N.Y., last Tuesday.

Without a doubt President Obama won the last two debates, and any one who claims to be an undecided voter after last nights slap down in the Mouth of the Rat  hasn't been paying attention.  I suspect the so called undecided/independent/moderate voters really are republicans who are ashamed to admit it, but that's just me.

After last night, who is going to vote for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan besides rich white males who have convinced poor white males to vote against their interest, and old, rich, white, females who don't have to work, no longer need birth control, and can afford to pay for a safe legal abortion if they choose to?  I mean, really?

The segment of the population who has actually been paying attention to what Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have been saying on the campaign trail  knows Mitt flip/flopped all over the place on foreign policy.  I don't know about you, but I feel a lot safer with President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden in charge of our safety and security than those two.

It's a question of character.  Para quoting Newt Gingrich, anyone who will lie to you to become President will lie to you when they become President.

Been there.

Done that.

I HOPE there are more voters who love our country more than they hate our President, and I am thankful the United Nations will monitor this election to ensure we have fair and free elections in America too.

About that "massive intelligence failure"....

The first question out of  Vice Presidential debate moderator Martha Raddatz's mouth last night was about the so called failure of the Obama administration to call the attack on the Libyan Consulate an act of terrorism right after it happened.

Congress Critter Paul Ryan (r.  WI), his side kick, I mean running mate, Mitt Romney (r.MA), enabled by Congress Critter Darrell Issa (r. CA) are are quick to use this tragedy for partisan, political gain, but they must have forgotten about the *cough cough* massive intelligence failure that took our troops to war based on DEAD WRONG INTELLIGENCE, to look for Weapons of Mass Destruction, that were NOT there, without body armor or an exit plan.  Talk about a conspiracy.

Vice President Joe Biden made me proud to be a Democrat last night because he proved all the republicans want is all war all the time with other people's sons and daughters, poor women not to have access to a safe legal abortion, gut Medicare,  privatize Social Security, and raise taxes on the middle class.

Psst President Obama...nice guys finish last.

One more night and we'll be free from the fakery

One more night and the We hate Obama more than we love our country convention will be over.  I must say it's been fun watching the Talking TeeVee Pundit Heads bending over backwards ignoring the real stories to make this election about two viable candidates for President.

Now more than ever I am convinced Mitt Romney and the GOP, enabled by the media, either have amnesia, or they think we are Suckers.

Have they forgotten the Bush and Dick Doctrine that sent our troops to a stupid war for stupid reasons?   Do they expect the American people to endorse borrowing and spending for all war all the time while exploding the deficit again?  I mean, do they really  believe they can lie their way into power, again ?

Stay tuned, tonight Mitt Romney will try and make the American people forget he is the 5th amendment President while the media drives the getaway car.

"The Next President of the United States of America, Paul Ryan"

I know I said I wasn't going to blog about House Representative Paul Ryan (r. Wisconsin) any more today, but I was  wondering....did Mitt make a Freudian slip when he introduced Ryan as "the next President of the United States of America", or, does he know something we don't know?

When you think about it, Rep. Ryan will be the next President of the United States of  America IF Mitt has to resign, or, is impeached and removed from office.  Or, God forbid, something happens to him before his term is over.

So let's recap, the next President of the United States is a Tea Party darling who wants to turn Medicare into a voucher system, privatize social security,  give the rich more tax cuts at the expense of the middle class, cut programs for the poor, keep poor women from choosing the have a safe, legal abortion, and having access to birth control, repeal the Affordable Health Care Act, start a war with anybody, send illegals back to Mexico (except the ones who work for republicans),  return to states rights, and is a a political coward who doesn't believe in government.

Can you say Deja Voodoo all over again?

House Representative Paul Ryan, the gift that keeps on giving

This is my last post today about Willard's choice of  House Rep Paul Ryan (r. push granny off the cliff) as his running mate.

I HOPE.

Mitt Romney proved once again he has no spine, and like the gop nominee before him,  gave in to the segment of voters who hate President Obama more than they love themselves, or their country.

Surely the gop can do better than this.  But then again......

You won't see it on TeeVee this weekend but here is the Obama Campaign's response to Willard's CHOICE  for America.

Who is Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney's VP, Exactly? (Psst, his wife is a tax lawyer!)

Willard Romney Chooses Eddie Munster for Vice President!

O-M-G! On the deck of the USS Wisconsin, with The Help, I mean two black folks in the back ground, Willard Mitt Romney just introduced Eddie Munster, I mean Paul Ryan, as the next President of the United States of America.

 Ooops!

Paul Ryan?  Seriously?

The only thing missing is a Mission Accomplished banner.

Like Romney, Ryan is a son of privilege who has little real-world experience or understanding. He presents well on Sunday morning talk shows and in the rarified confines of Washington think tanks and dinners with his constituents—the Masters of the Universe on Wall Street-- but his record in Congress and the policies he now promotes are political albatrosses.

Deal or No Deal?

Well it's the morning after the Knockout-Dragout, Thrilla in D.C. but it's hard for me to to tell who won and who lost. I'm beginning to think it was we the peeps who lost.

President Obama discussed the significance of the deal in his weekly address.

“This is good news for the American people. It means that small businesses can get the loans they need, our families can get the mortgages they applied for, folks can visit our national museums and parks, and hundreds of thousands of Americans will get their paychecks on time – including our brave men and women in uniform. This is an agreement to invest in our country’s future while making the largest annual spending cut in our history.”

Oh really? I wonder what part of the banks aren't making loans to small business doesn't the President understand? I wonder what part of families aren't applying for or getting mortgages because they have NO JOBS? I wonder what part of families can't afford to visit our national museums and parks because they have NO JOBS? Investing our countries future is one thing but what about investing in the present?

The President stressed that some of these cuts would be “painful” as programs people rely on will be cut back and certain infrastructure projects will be delayed. However, President Obama urged that a tightening of the budget is necessary for the future:

Ya think it will be painful to Seniors when they can't afford heat and cool their homes? You think it will be painful to head start children? You think it's going to be painful for Medicare and Social Security recipients? You think it's going to be painful for low income families? You think it's going to be painful for public school teachers and unions?

“And beginning to live within our means is the only way to protect the investments that will help America compete for new jobs – investments in our kids’ education and student loans; in clean energy and life-saving medical research.

Living within what Effing means?????!!! What Effing new jobs????!!!! Our kids already have student loans with NO JOBS to pay them back!!!!! What good is life-saving medical research if you can't afford to get sick because you have NO JOB?????!!!! What part of that don't you understand?

Reducing spending while still investing in the future is just common sense. That’s what families do in tough times. They sacrifice where they can, even if it’s hard, to afford what’s really important.

Uh, NO Mister President, Sir. Reducing spending while Americans are suffering is dumb, stoopid and mean. Families are sacrificing, strike that families are struggling every day just to survive.

The TeaPublicans won last night.

I have to rescind my assessment last night that John Boehner got nothing out of the late negotiations on the 2011 budget. Apparently, he won the restoration of a ban on the District of Columbia spending its own money to help poor women attain abortions. President Obama and the Democrats had lifted that ban earlier in his presidency, and now it is back. Boehner also won funding for the D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program, which spends federal money on private schools in the District. In addition to these concessions, there is another rider that was left unresolved. Will the DC government be able to spend money on a needle-exchange program? The answer will come out of negotiations between the House and Senate. So, it appears that DC Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton's fears have been realized; as the District took the hit for a budget deal. It's one more example of why they need voting rights and autonomy. For a ninety-percent Democratic city to have to suffer the indignity of being governed by a bunch of conservative Republicans (even in part) is intolerable. Having said all that, I am not impressed with the interpretation many progressives are taking on these negotiations.

The Republican Budget Plan to Kill Medicare Gets Vote Next Week

House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan proposed a budget plan for 2012. It's scheduled for a vote next week. Among its features: Ending Medicare and gutting Medicaid.Ryan calls his plan "The Path to Prosperity." For who? No surprise here: it calls for further tax reductions for corporations and wealthy individuals. He claims to be saving Medicare, notwithstanding his plan would push tens of millions of people over the financial edge.

A government shut down was averted last night, but was that a good thing?
