republicans....What are they good for?

Absolutely nothin except all war all the time, raiding the surplus, giving the rich tax cuts, keeping poor women from choosing to have a safe legal abortion, keeping gay people from getting married, sending them there illegals back to Mexico, sending jobs overseas, and promoting all hate all the time, Unfair and Unbalanced. I mean, really, other than that, what have they done for us lately?

As you know, 48 republicans and 2 democRats with jobs filibustered the Jobs Bill to get President Obama out of office by any means necessary and to sucker those misinformed/uninformed voters they haven't disenfranchised into voting for them.

This is what they voted against.

The bill would have reduced the deficit by $6 billion over ten years, according to the Congressional Budget Office. The Republicans filibustered deficit reduction.

The bill would have created nearly two million new jobs. The Republicans filibustered the creation of two million new jobs.

The bill would have increased the gross domestic product (GDP) by two points. The Republicans filibustered increasing the GDP.

The bill would have cut taxes for 98 percent of businesses. The Republicans filibustered a tax cut for businesses.

The bill would have offered a tax credit for military veterans returning from war. The Republicans filibustered a tax credit for the troops.

The bill would have reduced unemployment by a full percentage point. The Republicans filibustered a reduction in unemployment.

The bill would have been paid for by a 5.6 percent surtax on millionaires — a surtax that, again, a majority of Republican voters support. The Republicans filibustered paying for the bill.

Bigotry is the only thing that can make voters vote against their self-interest, and republicans are experts at using bigotry as a weapon of mass distraction from the real issues, facing 99% of ALL Americans.
as long as Republicans are able to convince Americans to vote for them because they believe “Well, the Republicans won’t target me as a parasite, it’s all those other guys who are the problem” then they’ll discover too late what the GOP truly intends to do.

republicans!
Uh-huhuh-yeah
What are they good for?
Absolutely nothin!

No Jobs.
No Health Care.
No Homes.
No Education.
No Social Security.
No Medicare.
No Justice.
No Peace.

Absolutely nothin!

Nothin from nothin leaves nothin.

I'm not up to date on all things that were in the bill. Is there others things that maybe they did not want to go through so they had to vote no since it would also allow the things they did not want in it.

WHAT ELSE WAS IN THE BILL?!!! Again maybe they wanted things passed but could not vote yes because it would pass other things we DON'T NEED or want.

Do the 2 no votes from the Dems mean they hate Obama?

I'm sure there is more reasons why they voted no. I'll research other things in the bill then reply back.

You should make of practice of researching before you reply.

I told you what was in the bill, even gave you a link.

The two demoRats who voted NO think the voters of their state are going to reward them for keeping them from getting a job.

Maybe Obama knew the bill was no good and that the Rep. would kill the bill making him look good that he tried but it's all the rep. fault!

I do not have to do a lot of research most everything Obama does is a screw up! It must be his white half.

Did you notice who Obama threatened when he wasn't getting his way on raising The debt ceiling?
He threatened to not pay: Social Security Retirees, Military Retirees, Social
Security disability and Federal Retirees.

Now.. Let this sink in really good -

He did not threaten to stop payments to illegal aliens
He did not threatened to take frivolous benefits such as Internet access away from violent inmates

He did not offer to fire some of the thousands of unnecessary federal employees that he hired
He did not offer to cut down on his or his wife's frivolous gallivanting around
He did not threaten to not pay the senators and representatives or any of their staff
He did not threaten to take benefits away from welfare recipients
He did not threaten the food stamp programs
He did not threaten to not pay foreign aid
He did not threaten to cut back on anything that involves his base voters
The list could go on and on. He is in full political re-election mode!
Why are we allowing this person to destroy this wonderful country with his
selfishness and his lies?
His type of change is killing our country. .
2012 - THE END OF AN ERROR!

The thought of Obama running our country again blows my mind. The thought of anyone dem. or rep. running our country who takes us away from what our founding fathers stood for blows my mind! What happened to prayer,in god we trust, hard work, etc etc etc? Get the liberals ot of Washington or America will no longer be America!

We need CHANGE someone who will not give our country away, someone who will not take my money and give it to folks too lazy to work, someone who will leave my social security alone, someone who will be proud to fly the American Flag and be proud to say the pledge of allegiance, someone who will make you drug test before and while you receive any entitlement check, free school, food stamps etc!! WE NEED BIG CHANGE!

Our founding "fathers", the original illegal immigrants.

Our founding fathers, the original slave masters.

Our founding "fathers" the original oppressor of women's rights.

F U is part of the 1% who waive their flags while waiving their rights, and, who believe welfare is the problem instead of the 8 billion dollars per MONTH being spent on illegal, immoral wars.

99% of the American people don't want to go BACK to before we had liberty and justice for ALL not just white men.

What we are trying to tell you, Effup, is the liberal Democratic philosophy will come closer to what you want than the conservative republican't scam we now have.

How can people like you keep missing it?

You know right here in Alabama you can very affordably send your children to the religious school of your choice (and for jack-booted thugs who can't stomach diversity, it will probably be a very, very white school). Freedom from the tyranny of government forcing you to send your children to a particular school is government off your back.

Up in your neck of the woods you can send your kids to virtually all white public schools, and as far as I know Christian prayer does not require public professions of faith. I certainly don't believe our Founding Fathers were ever picking a State religion, but spoke of freedom of religion in our private lives free from the tyranny of government. One of the driving forces of immigration to America was the persecution by and intolerance of State religions in many European countries.

Aren't the freedom-loving conservatives today calling Mormonism a cult and calling for major restriction of Islam? Is the party in power the one who determines what religion and faith is acceptable? Isn't freedom to practice the faith of my choice exactly freedom of religion? And the State has no Constitutional authority to cram any particular faith down my throat. The conservatives want to change this, convince us the historical record of our country needs revision.

We as a society, either through our government or through charitable institutions believe in providing for the "least of these among us." As a Christian, you should note that we will be judged accordingly and this is a major tenet of the New Covenant.

Jesus never had 'tests.' Are the conservatives now going to argue we don't understand the words in the Bible? They need to be revised? While liberals put acts into faith as personal conviction?

You don't want to help the poor (no questions asked, like Jesus) then just say to yourself your portion of tax money went to building a $1,000,000 cruise missile to lob on some Islamic heathens somewhere, and then you can sleep better at night knowing your money wasn't used to feed the poor (they could have been out picking tomatoes, our local republican't jobs plan). Somehow, I feel sure you are not paying enough in your entire life to pay for 1 missile, but without your contribution, maybe a few more women and children (collateral damage) would be alive today. Sleep well, Effup.

If you think Obama is a liberal, I'm pretty sure we need to send you to a "reeducation camp," although you sound eligible for a "death panel" already. You can judge whether someone made an effort to meet your standards, and if they don't...

Are you polishing up your boots, Effup?

I don't agree with the money spent on war. I don't agree with the way our ancestors treated the Indians!

Slave masters? Blacks were captured by other blacks!!! Whites were also slaves but I posted those links about the white slavery here before!

I want liberty and justice for all that are legal citizens! Black white Chinese etc!

I don't mind helping the poor just HATE having to help the lazy people who refuse to work because they rely on entitlement programs!!!

Redeye, you have the patience of Job, and the restraint of a Kung Fu master.

If we use what the Founding Fathers wanted (their supposed governmental ideals) as the litmus test for what we should want in our modern-day Republic, we will miss the mark by a million miles.

This Constitutional-Representative Republic was created so that the ruling, moneyed class might protect their wealth from the grasp of the have-nots, who they feared would--without some power, and representation--take, wrest, and steal from the haves.

"Americans are conditioned to see our present form of government as a representative democracy. We're almost incapable of understanding that:

"We live in a plutocracy

"The United States Constitution was deliberately constructed so that the nation is ruled by the wealthy."

More here.

If you read the "More here," you'll see parallels to today's struggles, now exemplified by the Occupy Movement that's threatening to occupy the whole world.

We're still fighting what the author calls the Second Revolution, the one that was never settled at the settling of the first.

From more here:

"The Founding Fathers did lead the war for independence from Britain. But they did not do it for the equal right of all to life, liberty, and equality. Their intention was to set up a new government that would protect the property of slave owners, land speculators, merchants, and bondholders. Independence from England had already been secured in parts of the country by grassroots rebellion a year before the battles at Lexington and Concord that initiated hostilities with Britain. . . . It is one of the phenomena of modern times that revolutions are not favored unless they are led by people who are not revolutionaries at heart.
