Strike that, it's not wise for ME to blog about 7th District Congressperson elect Terri Sewell, nor is it wise for me to link to my damn own stuff at Left in Alabama.
Is it a coincidence that once again, almost a year to the date, I'm banned from logging on and linking to Left if Alabama after posting several posts critical of Terri Sewell?
Is it a coincidence that after an exchange with an anonymous poster accusing me of obsessing over Terri Sewell, not having an original thought just a lot of links to LiA and told to find my own voice, I'm banned from logging on and linking to Left in Alabama?
This isn't the first time someone(s) have tried to silence me and It probably won't be the last. It's a shame our sons and daughters are fighting, dying, and being maimed for life-fighting for Freedom in Iraq and Afghanistan, but some us are fighting for equal rights and civil rights right here in the U.S.A.
Langston Hughes
Let America Be America Again, from A New Song (1938)
Let America be America again.
Let it be the dream it used to be.
Let America be the dream the dreamers dreamed —
Let it be that great strong land of love
Where never kings connive nor tyrants scheme
That any man be crushed by one above.
O, let my land be a land where Liberty
Is crowned with no false patriotic wreath,
But opportunity is real, and life is free,
Equality is in the air we breathe.
I am the poor white, fooled and pushed apart,
I am the Negro bearing slavery's scars.
I am the red man driven from the land,
I am the immigrant clutching the hope I seek —
And finding only the same old stupid plan
Of dog eat dog, of mighty crush the weak.
For all the dreams we've dreamed
And all the songs we've sung
And all the hopes we've held
And all the flags we've hung,
The millions who have nothing for our pay —
Except the dream that's almost dead today.
O, let America be America again —
The land that never has been yet —
And yet must be — the land where every man is free.
Sure, call me any ugly name you choose —
The steel of freedom does not stain.
From those who live like leeches on the people's lives,
We must take back our land again,
America!
O, yes,
I say it plain,
America never was America to me,
And yet I swear this oath —
America will be!
Out of the rack and ruin of our gangster death,
The rape and rot of graft, and stealth, and lies,
We, the people, must redeem
The land, the mines, the plants, the rivers.
The mountains and the endless plain —
All, all the stretch of these great green states —
And make America again!

I swear to the Lord
I still can't see
Why Democracy means
Everybody but me.

Different anonymous poster here but you are obsessed with Sewell. Also obsessed with LiA. You ought to take the advice to get an original thought and find your own voice. Also stop complaining so damn much. It's old and boring.
So, you think Left in Alabama is trying to keep you down? Why is that?
Brian, you must think Redeye is STOOPID!
It's the racism.
Brian,
I don't think Left in Alabama is trying to keep me down, I believe Left in Alabama is trying to suppress dissent.
Welcome to the conversation.
DaleJackson,
You remind me of the kid on the playground running round starting stuff yelling "let's you and him fight". GTFU.
Different Anonymous poster,
You might be a different Aonymous poster but you're saying the same old stuff, so I'm going to tell you the same thing I told the other Anonymous poster..in the upper right hand corner of this blog there is a red box with a white x in it...move your curser and right click if you don't like how I write and what I write about. That's the great thing about the Internet, no one makes you read anything you don't want to read.
If they are trying to suppress dissent then why do they allow Dale Jackson to participate?
That's what I want to know Anonymous. Maybe you ask them why DaleJackson is allowed to participate and I'm not.
It is almost like LiA has a secret love affair with Terri Sewell like they did with Artur Davis. Most people think that they are crazy so it does not matter.
Typo to Anonymous, should read, maybe you should ask them why Dalejacksom is allowed to participate and I'm not.
To Anonymous #2, It's no secret LiA was a strong supporter of Artur Davis and Terri Sewell, and that's fine, but on the same token they are not tolerant of those who don't share their support but that doesn't mean they are crazy, it means they aren't fair.
People act like LiA are the authoritative voice on liberal politics in Alabama. They sound like old Republicans trying to make right with liberal causes to me.
"They sound like old Republicans trying to make right with liberal causes to me."
Exactly Anonymous, which is exactly why people act like they are the aurthoritative voice on liberal politics in Alabama and I why my front page privileges were revoked/rescinded. :)
Redeye, give Terri Sewell a chance...that is all I would ask of you...
Your front page privileges at Left in Alabama were revoked because you refused to fact check your posts or correct factual errors when they were pointed out to you. You know that, but you continue to lie and claim you're being oppressed. Get help.
Christopher Mosley,
Of course I will give Terri Sewell a chance. I HOPE and PRAY she doesn't dissapoint you or her constitutents.
Anonymous, you are a I refused to fact check my post or correct errors when they were pointed out to me lie. And for the record I am not claiming to be oppressed I am claiming I am being held to a higher/different standard from the white front pagers. I don't need help, I need justice and fairness.
I need help getting equality and justice.
Not to mention your new ongoing lie about being "banned" from logging into or linking to Left in Alabama. Even after numerous commenters told you it's impossible to single out one person and prevent them from accessing a website, you're still claiming there's something "mysterious" about it. Maybe you typed the address wrong, maybe your web browser had a temporary glitch, maybe Left in Alabama was down temporarily. You're so busy trying to claim you're oppressed you'll grab onto anything that "proves" people are out to get you.
Anonymous, why would I lie about being denied access to Left in Alabama? And the only person talking about me being oppressed is Y-O-U.
Project much?
I don't know why you would lie, but you did, and you continue to.
A funny thing happens when I attempt to log on to Left in Alabama, I can't. What's up with that Cats? Are you now denying me the privilege of even reading and linking to Left in Alabama?
According to the Cats and other creatures at LiA (which I can mysteriously link to again)...
There's nothing mysterious or sinister about it. Either you typed the URL wrong or there was a temporary glitch in the Internet. You implied that the people at Left in Alabama magically denied you access, and you continue to perpetrate that falsehood with your dig about about being able to "mysteriously" link again. Your paranoia knows no bounds.
Anonymous,
I had my computer check out by a certified technician who said my computer had a virus which denied me access to Left in Alabama. I did not type in the wrong URL, and if there was a temporary glitch in the Internet, it only affected my access to LiA. FACT not speculation, not implication. Your continued obession over this issue and your attempts to paint me as paranoid is interesting.
And you say my paranoia knows no bounds?
I don't have to paint you as paranoid. You do that all by yourself.
*sigh* And you say I always have to have the last word? If it makes you feel better to paint me as paranoid have at it.
Since people are reading let me clean up some typo's.
Should read-
