Privilege of the Powerful, Power of the Privileged

A funny thing happens when I attempt to log on to Left in Alabama, I can't. What's up with that Cats? Are you now denying me the privilege of even reading and linking to Left in Alabama?

You're not making any sense Redeye. I can read that site even with no account there. I can link to them, too.
Smarter birmingham
Uh huh. Maybe you made a typo.

Redeye I found you at Granny Standing for Truth and you two speak to the issues I care about. Keep it up!
I used to help run a blog for my job a couple of years ago and there's no way to keep people from reading a website unless you put a password on it. I wnet to leftinalabama to see if they're really that stupid but I could read the website wihtout logging in. It looks like the links work too.

without redeye we'd be a poorer blog

Thank you stand and fight, I'm not a computer wiz, and I'm new to running a blog so maybe I didn't make myself clear, but everytime I clicked on Left in Alabama, or links to LiA from other blogs I got a blank screen with an error message saying Internet Explorer would have to close then the screen went blank and would return to the desktop page. So I was literally locked of LiA. What was that?

dude, sounds like you have a virus or malware on your computer.

Are you running any antivirus programs? Spybot search and destroy is a good one and Avast is too. Both are free downloads.

Thanks loverboy,
I think you are right, but is it possible to just have a virus that won't let my computer log on to Left in Alabama?

I have spyware.

don't know that, but I did hear about something that blocked a browsers favorites or bookmarks list. cAnt remember where though. Try clearing your browser cache and deleting cookies. Sometimes that works.

sorry I'm not more help, but keep up the good work!

Thanks again for all your help. And thanks for reading.

did you get the problem fixed? I asked my grandaughter and she said it sounded like some kind of virus that hijacks browsers.

Be careful out there!

I think I've gotten the problem fixed, my computer tech said it was a virus. Thanks for your help.
