Congressman (sic) Mo "anything short of shooting illegals" Brooks is making #SweetHomeAlabama proud again.

Not.  It ought to be against the law to use the public airways to spew hatred, bigotry, and misinformation, but it's not, so Alabama's CD 5 Congress Critter Mo Brooks went there when he made an appearance on Radio Boy's show.
"We’re paying them about $15,000 a year in free health care, free food, free shelter, free clothing, free transportation,” Brooks said. “That answers very quickly why so many of them want to come to the United States of America.”
“We’re paying them to come here,” the Alabama congressman concluded. “It’s a paid vacation!”
Yep,  Mo used the public airways to misinform the uniformed, and turn the victims into criminals.
Instead of viewing refugees as people fleeing the violence that has claimed more than 200,000 lives, Brooks saw a host of incoming welfare queens intent on taking advantage of Americans’ generosity.
Psst Mo!  Sweet Home Alabama is the last place Syrian Refugees would want to "vacation".  They are trying to flee violence and despair.
Thousands of civilians have been victims of mass shootings and gunfire between government forces and insurgents. In one case documented by the United Nations, more than 100 people, including at least 49 children, were killed in Homs on May 25, 2012. Most were shot at close range.
The U.N. reports that armed opposition groups have also executed children, but lack of access in areas controlled by the Islamic State has prevented systematic documentation. “In places like Raqqa and Deir Ezzor, it’s almost impossible to verify the information,” said Bassam al-Ahmad, spokesman for the Violation Documentation Center in Syria.
What is most troubling to me is the fact Mo Brooks is an elected official, and has been most of his adult life.  For an elected official to have this point of view is dangerous, because he also has to the power to act on his beliefs.
In its essence, racism is culturally sanctioned strategies that defend the advantages of power, privilege and prestige which "Whites have because of the subordinated position of racial minorities." This deliberate political, economical, religious and sociocultural structuring of privilege, does not take place in some moral vacuum. It has behind it the moral force of an ideology of supremacy, an ill-will that claims racial superiority and pride of position. By ideology I mean a system of ideas and beliefs about the universe, to which a people adhere in order to justify their attitudes and actions. This ideology can have a religious or a scientific basis, depending on which one shapes our worldview. Nevertheless the outcome is the same, where one group benefits and the other does not.
They say parents are the first teachers, so I have to assume Mo Brooks was raised with this point of view, and he raised his children with this point of view, and they are raising their children with this point of view, and that it will go on, and on, and on.  Sigh

We can't stop people from being racist, but we damn well can stop electing them to office.   The only problem is finding someone to vote for.  Surely there are more people of good will than there are of... them.

Update~ What Looks Like #VoterSuppression on an Ordinary Day in #SweetHomeAlabama

voting.JPG
#MediaDrivenNarrativeAlert:   Gov. Robert Bentley, left to right, Bernice King, daughter of Martin Luther King Jr., and Peggy Wallace Kennedy, daughter of former Gov. George Wallace, in a commemoration of the voting rights march from Selma to Montgomery (Julie Bennett/ jbennett@al.com)
Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! Alabama get voter suppression right!  (pun intended).
Alabama has followed its voter ID requirement that went into effect last year with closing drivers license offices in eight of 10 counties with majority black voting populations. The voter suppression effect is complimented by raising the fee for driver license renewal from $23.50 to $36.25 earlier this year.
EYE don't know why the Alabama Media Group , EYE am look at Y-O-U, Kyle Whitmire, John Archibald, and Dale "Jackson", are acting all shocked and awed Alabama has figured out a way to remain the reddest of the red, Confederate Slave States... today, tomorrow and forever.

EYE don't know why some people are acting all shocked and ashamed to learn Alabama to stop issuing drivers licenses in counties with 75% black registered voters.  Didn't Alabama State Senator Hank Sanders (D. Selma) try to tell y'all?
Hank Sanders knew the red, republican, controlled House would pass the Voter ID bill to disenfranchise black/poor/brown voters.
The Alabama Legislature, under Republican control for the first time since Reconstruction, passed a voter ID law this year. The law takes effect in 2014.
Kansas, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin have passed laws this year that allow voters without the required photo ID to cast provisional ballots, but the voters must return to a specific location with that ID within a certain time limit for their ballots to count.
Indiana and Georgia already had such laws. Other states have photo ID laws too, but provide different way to verify a voter’s identity without a photo ID. Texas and South Carolina are awaiting approval for their laws from the Justice Department because of those are among that states with a history of voting rights suppression and discrimination.
EYE knew when the republican majority Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act because things had changed dramatically in the south,  clearing the way for republicans to gerrymander their way to a permanent majority,  this was going to happen.  And it's too late to call for a justice department investigation into the closings Mr. Archibald, Sir.

Maybe if the Alabama Democratic Party had joined with The Alabama Democratic Conference instead of fighting with the Alabama Democratic Conference we wouldn't be in this mess.

EYE am just saying...
Still think Voter ID laws aren’t meant to keep folks from voting? What other purpose can they possibly serve? Back in 2011, Alabama passed a voter ID law requiring Photo ID. For most Americans, that’s a driver’s license.
Unfortunately for folks living in Alabama’s “Black Belt” – the state’s 15 mostly Black counties – those driver’s licences are about to become a LOT harder to get. Why? Because on Thursday, October 1, the state’s shutting down a staggering 31 driver’s license offices, leaving only four open.
Officials claim they’re doing this because of budget cuts, but it looks a lot more like the GOP-controlled state legislature wants to keep Black people from voting. After all, this certainly isn’t the first time the state of Alabama’s tried to keep Black people from voting. And now that the majority -GOP Supreme Court has gutted the Voting Rights Act of 1965, they’re free to do it again.
EYE Report.  YOU Decide.

Dear Micheal Lundy, Lt. Jerry Rice, Kenny Anderson, Harry Hobbs, and L.C. Smith, You're not Helping #BlackLivesMatter

blm
Black Lives Matter:  Signs appear outside churches all over Huntsville
You're hurting us with your "AllLivesMatter"  seminars to prevent another #Ferguson.
"All Lives Matter" started with a set of town hall meetings in January. Lundy said about 500 adults attended these, but they needed a way to communicate their same concerns with the youth who weren't there. This helped cement the idea of a partnership with the police department.
"We talked about how we work together to prevent some of the negative outcomes that we experienced in Ferguson, Missouri, and Wisconsin and New York and Cleveland, Ohio," he said.

The first sign you are not helping is an endorsement by right wing, conservative, self proclaimed King of Hate Radio, host, Dale "Jackson" who writes:
The one thing lost in all the recent “Black Lives Matter” nonsense is the communities responsibility to respect law enforcement.
This should be applauded and copied. Good job, Huntsville Housing Authority.
See what I mean?  Dale "Jackson" calls the #BlackLivesMatter movement  nonsense,  and believes that black people should respect law enforcement, even when they don't deserve respect.
Young black males in recent years were at a far greater risk of being shot dead by police than their white counterparts – 21 times greater i, according to a ProPublica analysis of federally collected data on fatal police shootings.
The 1,217 deadly police shootings from 2010 to 2012 captured in the federal data show that blacks, age 15 to 19, were killed at a rate of 31.17 per million, while just 1.47 per million white males in that age range died at the hands of police.
We all know that it's not about people of color not respecting law enforcement, it's about law enforcement not respecting people of color.  You are sending the wrong message to young black/brown/poor males by teaching them how to be good Negroes.  As black men you know good and well staying calm, doing as told, and not having a "bad attitude does not ensure you won't be beaten/ shot/ tased/ killed by police who are afraid of black people.

Let us be clear: We love, support, and pray for our police officers. We understand that many are doing an excellent job under extremely trying circumstances. We also understand that many officers are burdened by systems that routinely mete out inequitable racialized outcomes.

Let us also be clear to what started the #BlackLivesMatter  movement in the first place.
The founders of #BlackLivesMatter are grateful that their message has been picked up by so many people as a rallying cry, but they want other groups that use the essence of the name, such as #MuslimLivesMatter and #LatinoLivesMatter, to find their own slogans.
At a South by Southwest panel discussion, “What #BlackLivesMatter Teaches Us About Solidarity,” Alicia Garza and Opal Tometi said they were concerned about the dilution of their message.
“Not to say their lives don’t matter,” Tometi told the audience, “but we’ve been in a society that continues to marginalize black faces, and so we don’t want to see this kind of reappropriation and co-optation of #BlackLivesMatter as a hashtag.”
The four of you are referred to as local black mentors , as such you have a responsibility and a duty to speak truth to power.

If "All Lives Matter' why is the focus on boys from 13-19 years old who live in public housing?

If it "aims to prevent a Ferguson, Mo.-type situation from happening in Huntsville, how is "some tough-love dialogue about how to behave when you're engaged by a police officer," going to prevent another ‪#‎Ferguson‬?

Maybe you need to have a  dialogue with police officers about how to interact with black males from 13-19 years old.   After all, Ferguson started with ‪#‎DarrenWilson‬ telling ‪#‎MikeBrown‬ to get the F^&k out of the street and walk on the sidewalk and to "get the F#%k back."

It is wrong to teach black males from 13-19 how to "behave" when "engaged" by a police officer.  It doesn't matter how black males "behave" they can still be beaten/shot/killed by police. ‪

You're not helping.

Your friend,
RedEye

This is what #WhitePrivilege looks like in one picture

Dale Jackson
Mad because Oakwood University students organized a peaceful demonstration because they want to be treated like human beings, local radio host Dale Jackson (pictured above taking a selfie), decided to mock the absurdity of die- protest orchestrated by America’s grievance industry, with a one man protest, enabled by the City of Huntsville, the Huntsville Police Department, the media, and indirectly, Huntsville/Madison County taxpayers.

“There is a right way to protest and a wrong way to protest. Laying down in the middle of the road is the wrong way and shame on the politicians who are afraid to stand up and tell them ‘no.'”
That is the point Huntsville conservative talk radio personality Dale Jackson says he wanted to get across on Monday when he staged a one-man protest, lying down in the middle of the street blocking traffic on one of Huntsville’s busiest thoroughfares as local residents tried to make their way home from work.
The genesis of Jackson’s idea came when word started to spread on social media that several Huntsville residents were planning a demonstration they had dubbed “Shut it Down Huntsville.” Their plan to was to start in the parking lot of the Oakwood University Church and march up University Drive, “blocking all traffic in protest.”
The protest mirrored many others taking place around the country in the wake of the Michael Brown and Eric Garner deaths and subsequent grand jury decisions.
Let's backup. Their plan was to start in the parking lot of the Oakwood University Church and march up University Drive, “blocking all traffic in protest.” When Dale Jackson got wind of this, he and his posse cranked up a  they don't have a permit whine on social media.

The social media whine was picked up by the mainstream media, which resulted in Oakwood students being urged to not break traffic laws by the University President, and the city councilman who represents the district.
Huntsville City Councilman Will Culver said Huntsville police hope to prevent a planned Friday afternoon protest march from spilling into busy University Drive.
Culver, whose council district includes University Drive as well as Oakwood University where the 4:30 p.m. march is starting, said Huntsville Police Chief Lewis Morris has identified "a few areas where people can stand alongside University Drive and peacefully protest."
Did you get that last sentence?  An area was identified where people can stand alongside (not to be confused with in the middle of) University Drive.
The police had hoped the protestors would be satisfied staging their "die in" - four and a half minutes laying in the road to simulate the four and a half hours Michael Brown's body lay in the street in Ferguson, Mo. - on less busy Wynn Drive.
There's just one hitch, no one could see the die-in  on "less busy Wynn Drive" which kind of defeats the purpose of the protest.
But when protestors asked if they could have four and a half minutes to lie down on University, Police Chief Lewis Morris said yes. Police had the people and equipment in place to stop traffic, it would only take a few minutes, and it would avoid unnecessary confrontation.
Some have made an issue of the protestors not having a permit to do what they did. Morris pointed out that he signs the permits, he was on the scene, and he decided to grant the protestors' request. It wasn't on paper, but it was within his authority to make a spot decision.
Morris could have refused. He could have been indignant and stuck to the letter of the law.
Instead, he was smart, thoughtful and tolerant.
Which goes to show no good deed goes unpunished.  Under the guise of concern for law enforcement,  Dale Jackson forced HPD to provide him with a seven police car escort and block off busy streets during rush hour for a tax payer funded PR stunt.

Oh well, at least he didn't use the official Alabama State Seal on a memo telling democrats to vote the day after the election again.

Note to future protestors, the next time you want to protest, go to city hall and request a permit. They will be more than happy to oblige you.  If not, remind them of the Dale Jackson precedent pictured above.

Snertly sums it up:
While #ShutItDownHSV was performed to draw attention to Ferguson and similar issues, Dale Jackson's stunt is just to draw attention to Dale Jackson.
I'm glad Mr Jackson got his 120 seconds in the lime light, but it's absurd for him to equate laying alone on a public road stroking his ego with a social protest and demonstration involving over a hundred people..

#SpyGate Shhh! I listened to WVNN AM NewsTalk so you won't have too

Secret Keeper

What is the first thing you do if you are HCS Superintendent Casey Wardynski, and HCS Board President David Blair,  and you are facing a PR nightmare over Operation #SpyGate, and you can't hold a staged protest on the steps of the Annie Merts Center?

Run as fast as your short, little, legs will carry you over to  The Attack Machine to save the day!  (Cue in Mighty Mouse theme song)

That's right (pun intended),  the best way to make your case is to take it to Radio Boy, aka Dale Jackson.  I mean, who better to make your case for spying on some students social media accounts than the person who used the official state seal on a memo telling Democrats to vote the day after the election, and called State Representative Laura Hall a racist coward?

Anyhoo, here is what I learned on WVNN News Talk today and other places around the web regarding  #hsvboe Operation #SpyGate:

1.  Racial Profiling is OK.

2.  No amount of money is too much if it results in putting black/brown students out of school.

3.  The students should have called their social media post a parody and called it a day.

4.  Real Gang members don't post on Facebook.

5.  The NSA is in Maryland.....not Washington D.C.

Welcome Back Merts Center Monitor!
If you are here, I expect you already know about the latest crock of lies, evasions, deceits, illegalities, and violations of civil rights on the part of Wardynski and his henchmen: the May 2012 NSA tip-off (which the NSA denies) about a so-called immediate threat of danger (aka juvenile last day of school humor) with a foreign connection: one of the 100s of people following then junior Auseel Yousefi’s Twitter feed was a Yemeni (and thus, it seems, presumed to be a Muslim Jihadist terrorist) and how this tip-off led to the never-spent-a-day-on-the-battlefield retired colonel forming a surveillance project that the Board of Education maybe did or maybe didn’t know about (damn! who was responsible for delivering the scripts last week?) two months before the Yemeni non-event occurred.

You were missed.

Stay tuned.

I guess it depends on what your definition of "playing the race card" IS #WarOnWhites

Man, was Mo Brooks wrong! Democrats never play the race card, says Mo's favorite defender, Dale "Jackson",  who then asked the media to show where Mo was wrong. about his war on whites assertion.   Psst Radio Boy! Your pal Mo didn't accuse democrats of playing the race card, he accused "democrats" of waging a war on whites.  Remember?
It seems he, and other old, white racists like him, feel that Democrats are racist by having the nerve to expose the racist actions of RWNJs.

Everybody knows playing the race card is what white people say when they want to belittle, marginalize, and minimize, legitimate complaint/concerns, such as the ones outlined in an article published yesterday by the New Republic, which looks at the actions of the Legislature since the Republican takeover of 2010 and examines them in terms of race and party affiliation.
Alabama's Republican-controlled legislature is systematically undoing the gains achieved during the civil rights movement, a new article contends, pointing to things such as voter ID laws, cutting public assistance and refusing to expand Medicaid as proof of what the writer calls "the new racism."
We tried to tell some of y'all the republicans were up to no good, but did y'all listen? Nooooo. We were just race baiting, racist, dinosaurs.

Remember when Mo looked for help from African American voters before he was against  help from African American voters?

Update~ Mo Brooks is right (pun intended) #waronwhites

No brainer

Mo Brooks (r. AL 05) is the Trent Lott (r. MS) of the republican party.  Like Lott, he said publicly what  some circles say privately.  Don't get it twisted, some (not to be confused with all)  aren't mad at what Mo said, they are  mad because he said on the radio and on TeeVee.  Rule 101 of James Crow Esq. is don't reveal your identity or your strategy.  If you hate blacks/women/Hispanics/LBGT, pretend you love them, that way you can be more effective  in thwarting their success or advancement, i.e. justice system, school system, housing system, banking system, employment system, and last but not least the social system.
"I want the American people to start recognizing what the heck's going on," Brooks said. "When the Democrats bring up race time after time after time, what's the theme? It's skin color. Who are they saying who dislikes whom? They're saying the whites dislike the blacks, the whites dislike the Hispanics and the Democrats are the ones who will protect you from those whites.
"That's the subliminal and sometimes open message."

Rep.Mo Brooks has a documented history in the 5th Congressional District, this is not his first tell us how you really feel moment.  This is the former appointed DA who voters, black and white, rejected in the general election (thank goodness). This is same individual who ran for a seat on the Madison County Commission and won due to it's gerrymandered composition.  This is the gentleman, who believes whites have a higher I.Q. than blacks, and children who live in public housing should not be allowed to attend south Huntsville schools because they lower test scores.  This is the sitting United States Congressman who was forced to withdraw use of the word socialist on the house floor, and,  who refused to back off his "anything short of shooting them" illegal immigration threat.

And Mo says democrats are waging a war on white folks?
" Certainly if you were to flip the coin and a white person were to say vote for me because I'm white, it would be an uproar and deservedly so. So why do we allow blacks to say vote for me because I'm black or Hispanics vote for me because I'm Hispanic? "
Shhh!  Don't tell anyone but that is exactly what Mo Brooks is saying to his base, you know, the people who hate President Obama more than they love themselves.

Not to be left out, AL.com's  Mark McCarter wasted no time jumping into the fray to defend Mo by attempting to drag state Representative Alvin Holmes into Mo's mess.   This is not about Alvin Holmes or anyone else.  It's about Mo Brooks and the dark heart that is represented by his views.  These views speak to the content Mo's character, and those of his supporters, not to Alvin Holmes character, or any other false equivalency.

Congressman Brooks is an embarrassment to the state of Alabama, and the voters who elected him.  He is not the first Alabama politico to rant racist views, but hopefully he will be the last.  Voters have the chance to send him, and others like him, to the unemployment line.

Before Mo and Company took over, north Alabama was considered to  more cosmopolitan (for lack of a better word) than other parts of the state because of it's diversity. These views most certainly do not represent the diverse community Mo was elected to represent.  Huntsville depends on federal programs to fuel it's economy.  Local leaders must be cringing with fear.  Of course I won't hold my breath waiting for someone to step up and denounce, repudiate, and reject Mo Brooks they way they made candidate Obama reject Rev. Jeremiah Wright.  That would be too much like right (pun intended).

Let me end by saying we all have some degree of prejudice in our hearts, but it takes power to exercise racism.
Ordinarily we might expect to hear talk of a “war on whites” from those on the radical fringes of American society. When the phrase comes from a sitting member of Congress, the rhetoric is far more alarming.
I'm talking about you Mark Kennedy and the Alabama Democratic Majority.  Where are all those candidates you were going to recruit once you got rid of Joe Reed and his bunch?
In theory, these are the kind of remarks that would tarnish, if not irreparably harm, a politician’s career, but Brooks has very little to worry about – his Alabama district is ruby red, and this fall, Democrats won’t bother to run a candidate against him.
 Enough!

The Judge Slams The Sham

Here we go again.

You know the drill.

Use the power of the press to marginalize and minimize legitimate concerns of people of color.

And yes, I'm going there.

U.S. District Judge Madeline Hughes Haikala saw through the ruse,  and dropped the hammer on HCS board member Laurie McCaulley's  little "community conversations" masquerading as "a citizens workshop on unitary status" planned for Monday night.
Things in court grew tense as Haikala talked about a "citizens' workshop" that board member Laurie McCaulley has planned for Monday night at Butler High School. McCaulley earlier this week told AL.com that she had decided to host the event to help establish a "template" of the community's wishes for Superintendent Casey Wardynski to refer to during desegregation negotiations with the Justice Department.
In a scathing 107-page opinion she issued June 30, Haikala criticized the school board for a lack of communication with the public about its plans for redrawing school zone lines.
"These sorts of conversations at this juncture could cause problems down the line," Haikala said.
Unfortunately I can't say the same for  AL.com sports/opinion writer Mark McCarter, who once again took it upon himself to be a crusader for the status quo, and bash local NAACP President Alice Sams for saying she planned to attend, but other black leaders planned to boycott the sham, I mean, event.
"But to those who would cavalierly dismiss an opportunity like this to be heard, don't be surprised when people stop listening to you everywhere."
So let me see if I have this right (pun intended),  if the black leaders boycott the event, white people will  stop listening to them?  Sounds like a veiled threat and some racial code words to me.

Psst Mark McCarter!  White folks listening to black folk sound oxymoronic (sic).  Didn't you get the memo?  They certainly didn't listen to black elected officials and community leaders about the Johnson High School name change.  They certainly didn't listen to the J.O.Johnson Alumni Association's petition and march against the name change . They aren't listening to the valid concerns some people have about locating the new north high school less than half a mile from an active rock quarry , without conducting a health risk assessment.
The education system in our city remains an area of great racial divide. The Huntsville City Schools have gone from an era of being ineptly managed to heavy handed leadership. By its nature, tough decisions that won't sit well with everyone must be made. It's a lightning rod for people with an agenda, often people who have no children involved.
Now where have I heard that Huntsville City Schools were ineptly managed under the former superintendent, and it's a lightning rod for people who have no children involved?  Oh I know.... right wing radio host Dale Jackson, Superintendent Casey Wardynski,  and Mayor Tommy Battle,  people who have no children involved.

The education system in our city remains an area of great racial divide by design,  hopefully we are coming to the end of an era, the tough decisions will be made, and Huntsville City Schools will be a shining example for others to follow again.

I sure do miss the good old days when the media kept public officials from lying to us instead of enabling them to lie to us.

 Can you hear us now?

Dale Jackson calls for investigation of voter fraud story, say's it doesn't pass the "smell test"

I will let you read the details for yourself, but please note Jackson is not questioning if the story is true,  he is accusing  Al.com of.......... orchestrating this story.
Wow… AL.com writer writes how voter ID isn’t necessary and viola his wife finds a old woman who is denied the right to vote. AL.com then writes the story WITHOUT talking to the woman?
Good job.
There is one small problem with this scenario:
The voter, a great-grandmother to five, was deeply embarrassed by the whole incident and declined to talk directly with AL.com, but she gave her go-ahead for her neighbor, who took her to the polls, to relay the incident, with the provision that her name not be used.
It ought to be against the law to turn people away from the polls in the United States of America.  That's what  doesn't pass the smell test.
"What purpose did turning her away from the polls serve?"
I wonder how many of cases of "suspected voter fraud" were turned in to the GOP?

Update~ "Our guarantee is so simple a monkey can explain it"

Listen to two white guys discuss the Huntsville City Schools, smear black elected officials(with the exception of  District 1 BOE misrepresentative Laurie McCaulley), and community leaders.

Listen to this interview and you will see why Superintendent Casey Wardynski is afraid to meet with black elected officials,  and his contempt for the African American community, courtesy of the  First Family Mortgage Monkey and Dale Jackson.

Listen to this interview and you will see why it's Wardynski's way or the highway.

Listen to this interview and hear the lies and distortions.

Listen to this interview and tell me you are comfortable with the mentality responsible for the education of our children, who are the hope of our republic.

Listen to this interview and you will see why Wardynski is terrified of questions from the public.

Listen to this interview and you will hear the callous disregard for the safety of the student's, teachers, and support personnel at the new north high school.

Listen to this interview and you will see why Councilman Richard Showers was right “We don`t need a dictatorship in Huntsville. It’s just not indicative of Huntsvillians to have an attitude or personality of dictatorship,”

Superintendent Dr. Casey Wardynski is doing the job he was hired to do.

Casey you have to break the mold and prove you're not afraid of minorities, democrats, liberals, aclu (sic) types and the entire entitlement crowd! Do that, and you'll be doing the job you were hired to do! Oh yeah, not to mention striking down all racial transfers. And that includes allowing not allowing whites to racially transfer either. If you don't like where your child goes to school, move to where they can be zoned into a school of your preference, that's what I had to do!
“Never, in my 50 plus years of professional and community service, have I seen such a display of arrogance, deception, and deceit,” said Madison County Commissioner Bob Harrison during a recent County Commissioner’s meeting.

The more things change......

The more they don't change.....

"It's so simple even a monkey can explain it"

Two white guys discuss Hsv City Schools and black leaders, no, this is not an April Fools Joke

Listen to Dale Jackson and David Blair use the public airways for Blair's political gain, lecture black people, spread misinformation and half truths, and throw red meat to their base.

I am not a regular listener of Dale Jackson's radio show, I read his blog, which I am proud to say I am banned from posting comments, to see who/what the right wing spin of the day IS.

You know how it is when you see a train wreck and you just can't help but look at the wreckage?  That's how I felt when I saw this headline:

03-31-14 – Dale Jackson and HSV School Board Member David Blair discuss HSV City Schools and black leaders

It is a joke that is so not funny.

Psst Dale and David! It's not about a name, but it is about a name, if Wardynski hadn't been hell bent on changing J.O.Johnson's name we wouldn't be in this mess.  He made a gargantuan mistake.

Again~ It's not about Commissioner Bob Harrison. It's about keeping J.O.Johnson's name, desegregating the public schools, and making sure the location of the new north high school is safe for students, teachers, and support personnel to occupy.

Edit~ 'What is done in the dark".....You know the rest. (McCaulley / Wardynski Caught On Tape!)

This is a video/audio of the march to Save J.O. Johnson.  The school board is taking away a community's past in an effort to have them removed from the failing school list. Instead of making changes that would positively affect the students they have decided to simply change the name when the school is rebuilt in 2017....a very temporary solution to a very real problem.
Click and Listen to McCaulley / Wardynski Caught On Tape!

So, the narrative from Radio Boy, via the Huntsville City Schools is  North Huntsville Leaders are pretending this deal to close J.O. Johnson was a backroom deal, not so fast
The narrative from the press is the poor folks in North Huntsville were shocked by decisions to close and rebuild schools, including removing the illustrious name at J.O. Johnson High School…
Casey Brown said the decision to do away with J.O. Johnson High School was made in a “back room” and he is starting a petition today calling for the resignation of Laurie McCaulley, who represents the district on the city school board.
Speaking at a rally and march this morning to support keeping the name J.O. Johnson when a new school is built, Brown said McCaulley should resign because she has not properly represented the people of her district
Wardynski and Company would have you believe North Huntsville Leaders knew Johnson was closing for months, after being approached by a citizens group to have the J.O. Johnson name changed or retired.

NOT.
Click and listen as School President Laurie  McCaulley admits that she only consulted certain people privately about the name change on facebook. She admits she knew about it as far back as January and didn't inform her constituents.

Click and hear HCS Superintendent Casey Wardynski admit that no citizen's group approached the board in any official capacity to have the Johnson name retired or changed. This means it was only discussed with a few and then acted on. This violates the open meetings act.

Woe to those who go to great depths to hide their plans from the LORD, who do their work in darkness and think, "Who sees us? Who will know?" Isaiah 29:15

"You tell me how you interpret that" ~Laurie McCaulley

Huntsville City Schools  need a lecture on the state's open meetings law. Honesty and public trust should be part of that lesson.

Liar Liar Pants on Fire Dale Jackson!

A crowd of approximately 300 participated in the JOJ March Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, from Huntsville City Hall to the Annie C. Mertz Center to oppose changing the school's name. (Bob Gathany/bgathany@al.com)

Here he goes again....... Attacking ...African American.... leaders, and elected officials because it looks like the Save Johnson High School Movement is going somewhere, and Mr. Dale Jackson has to find some way to make it about him. Sigh

First Radio Boy attempted to "alert" the "media"  Madison County Commissioner Robert "Bob" Harrison used county Vans to "bus protesters in".  The media ignored him (and rightfully so)  because that was L-I-E. Vans were not used to bus protesters to the march, vans were used to transport elderly and handicapped taxpayers who wanted to participate in the Save J.O. Johnson march from City Hall to the Annie Mertz Center.

This is the latest L-I-E: North Huntsville Leaders are pretending this deal to close J.O. Johnson was a backroom deal, not so fast.
The narrative from the press is the poor folks in North Huntsville were shocked by decisions to close and rebuild schools, including removing the illustrious name at J.O. Johnson High School…

Not so fast Dale!  It's not a "narrative from the press", that's how they treat "poor folks in North Huntsville", and BTW, aren't Y-O-U  The  Press?
